ANALYSIS: Alexander Mattison left Sunday's game versus the Miami Dolphins with an ankle injury. Before leaving, he rushed the ball five times for 19 yards. The Boise State product also hauled in all three of his targets for 50 yards. Mattison was playing well but did not return after the injury. Zamir White also left the game with a quad injury, leaving Ameer Abdullah to take over running back duties.

The 26-year-old has been inconsistent this season, and some fantasy managers might drop him due to his injury concerns. If he is available on waivers, he is worth picking up. The running back could return in Week 12 to face the Denver Broncos. Even if Mattison does not play this week, adding him could help when he returns to full strength.
With six teams on bye this week, running back depth is essential. Mattison is a smart pickup if you have a player you can afford to drop. Monitor his status to see if he suits up.
