FanDuel NBA DFS Picks for Today (Monday 11/11/24): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Evan Mobley - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News

Dan's favorite FanDuel NBA DFS picks for today, Monday 11/11/24. His top daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for FanDuel DFS contests.

Do you mean to tell me that there are only five games on tonight's NBA slate? And here I have been breaking down 10 and 12-game slates for the last two weeks! One of those games happens to be my Cleveland Cavaliers going for their 12th straight win to start the season in Chicago!

In today's edition, I recommend some higher-priced players for cash games and GPPs while highlighting some of my favorite value plays and game stacks. If you want advice on the DraftKings NBA slate, give my buddy Jamie Calendro's article a read!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/11/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 8 p.m. EST on FanDuel.

FanDuel NBA DFS Core Picks

Jalen Williams, OKC – SF/PF ($8,000)

The big news out of OKC this morning is that star center Chet Holmgren - who was enjoying a huge start to the season - is now out for 8-10 weeks with a fracture in his hip after taking a big fall last night. This is terrible news for OKC, as Isaiah Hartenstein has already been sidelined for the start of the season and won't be available for at least another month yet.

I have no idea what the Thunder are going to do to match Ivica Zubac's size on the interior tonight, as they didn't have any other centers active for last night's game.

We could see Jaylin Williams activated, perhaps, but the most likely thing is that we see them play small as often as they can - which is what they did against the Warriors last night, running Trayce Jackson-Davis off the floor and forcing the GSW to play small to match them.

Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander should both get ticks up in usage, and a bunch of other role players like Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins, and Luguentz Dort will have to chip in as well. I love Williams at this price as we have seen him go off in games that stay competitive, with a 62.5 FD-point outing against Denver as recently as last week.

Jose Alvarado, NOP – PG ($6,700)

While he's no longer cheap enough to be a "value," Alvarado is still one of the first clicks into my lineup tonight. He's posted 40+ FD points in two straight games, as his offensive game has finally caught up to his passing and defense.

Alvarado is playing 34 minutes a night as a starter and has been forced into a bigger role with the Pelicans now missing five starters or their rotation members. He's a super safe play with upside for 7x if he's hitting shots, get him in your lineups whether it's cash or GPP.

Evan Mobley, CLE – PF/C ($8,200)

I haven't recommended a Cavs player in a DFS article yet this season - mainly because they have been very balanced on offense and have blown out a lot of opponents, allowing them to deploy a deep rotation and keep their starters' minutes in the high 20s or low 30s.

But Evan Mobley is playing too well and has too perfect of a matchup not to love tonight.

Mobley is coming off a masterful 23-point, 16-rebound game against Brooklyn as the Cavs were forced to come back late to preserve their unbeaten record. He now has 23 points in each of his last two games, and his defensive prowess (2.91 steals + blocks) gives him a massive ceiling on FanDuel, which converts to an average of nine FD points just from defensive stats.

The Bulls are vulnerable on the interior, allowing the fifth-most FD points to power forwards this season. And in case you are wondering, the last time Mobley saw the Bulls last February - he dropped 25 points, 13 boards, and four blocks on them!

FanDuel NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Bilal Coulibaly, WAS – SG ($5,800)

I worry a bit about getting too heavy on Washington players tonight, as they are double-digit underdogs against the Rockets and playing their second game in two nights. However, Coulibaly's minutes have been pretty secure this season, even with some bad losses.

Kyle Kuzma could return tonight, but Bub Carrington is questionable, and the Wizards are likely to be without at least one of them. Even at full strength, Coulibaly should start and play heavy minutes. He's topped 40 FD points twice in his last five games and can rack up defensive stats quickly with his long wingspan.

Trey Murphy III, NOP – SG/SF ($5,500)

Murphy is probable to return and make his season debut for the Pelicans tonight. And the timing of his return could not be better as New Orleans is running out of healthy players and is in dire need of more scoring.

Murphy may or may not start, but I think he's ticketed for at least 25 minutes tonight, and he could fill up the stat sheet in that much time with his pure shooting stroke and ability to pile up defensive stats. Let others be too careful and wait for him to show something. I'm going to be greedy and try to get in on a solid performance in his debut at a super cheap price tag.

Norman Powell, LAC - SG/SF ($6,800)

Powell's price has been slow to catch up to his production. Right now in his role on this Kawhi-less Clippers team, Powell is scoring 25.5 points per game and regularly topping 35 FD points. I look forward to him playing big minutes tonight in a game where the Clippers could push for a win against the Thunder, who are playing the second half of a back-to-back game without Holmgren.

Others Under Consideration: Ivica Zubac - C ($7,800), Brandon Boston Jr. - SG ($6,400), Darius Garland - PG ($7,300)

FanDuel NBA DFS Value Picks

Tari Eason, HOU – PF/SF ($5,600)

Eason is by far my favorite value tonight if we don't dip below 5k - and I am not sure that we need to on this slate. He's been awesome over the last few weeks with a safe 25 FD point floor and a massive 50+ FD point ceiling. If you think the Wizards get blown out, and the bench guys get more run, then Eason is a great play as he could exceed his usual 25 minutes a night and post a big score.

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, NOP – C ($4,600)

Robinson-Earl has beaten out Yves Missi as the starting center for the Pelicans, while Zion Williamson is out. He's cheap but doesn't offer much upside as he's a very limited player who mainly contributes through points and boards. But if you plan to play Harden + SGA both in any lineups tonight, you will need a few sub-5k players in there.

Kyshawn George, WAS – SG ($5,700)

Keep an eye on Kuzma's status. If Kuz is out (or Bub Carrington), then I like George a lot more. I am not playing Jordan Poole at his price, but the young Wizards are more likely to get their usual run even if the game blows out.

Stephon Castle, SAS – PG/SG ($4,800)

Castle is coming off his best game as a pro. He has started now two games in a row and the Spurs may want to keep bringing Devin Vassell off the bench until he's fully back up to speed. At this price, he could be one of the better values on the slate tonight if he ends up playing 30+ minutes again against the Kings.

Kevin Huerter, SAC - SG/SF ($4,400)

The red-headed three-point assassin got hot last night and went for 41 FD points against the Suns. He's been in and out of the starting lineup and missed a few games due to injury, but Huerter is far too cheap for a player of his caliber and a guy who should be in the rotation tonight.

Others Under Consideration: Aaron Wiggins - SF ($5,000), Luguentz Dort - SG/SF ($4,900), Patrick Williams - PF ($5,000)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

L.A. Clippers at Oklahoma City Thunder (219 total, 6.5-point spread)

This game doesn't have a big total, but I do think it could stay very close and allow us to stack up some pieces on both sides.

SGA and Jalen Williams are the top two guys to look at on OKC, but they have several cheap options like Wiggins, Dort, and Joe as well. Powell is my favorite Clipper at his price, but Zubac ($7,800) is interesting because he could dominate a center-less OKC team on the interior, or he could just as easily get run off the floor, too. It's the ultimate bust spot for the Clipper big man.
