ANALYSIS: Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell had an impressive rookie season. He had a limited role behind Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. Yet, the former undrafted free-agent addition provided a needed boost to the running game.
Mitchell had 47 rushing attempts for 396 yards and two touchdowns in eight games, averaging 8.4 yards per attempt. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL late in the year, prematurely ending his rookie season.
While the Ravens likely won’t have the explosive runner for a few more weeks, Mitchell is nearing his return. The second-year pro worked off to the side at practice earlier today.

Fantasy players in deeper leagues should stash Mitchell on their bench. While Derrick Henry will remain the featured running back, the former East Carolina star should have a role as a change-of-pace option. Mitchell won’t become an RB2 for fantasy players without an injury to Henry. However, he does offer flex appeal in deeper leagues.

Still, having one of the better […]
