Kansas-2 NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes

Ross Chastain - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the the 2024 Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Kansas Speedway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Hollywood Casino 400 on Sunday afternoon.

The 38-car field was split into two groups for this practice session. Below you'll find the two practice groups, key notes from the practice session and the practice speeds for all drivers.

There were no significant speed differences between Group A and Group B during this practice session, as we sometimes see at other race tracks.

Important Practice Notes

Chase Elliott - About 15 minutes into practice, it was reported that the No. 9 Chevrolet's engine was down a cylinder. The team will be able to switch engines before the race but will have to start from the rear of the field.

Jimmie Johnson - The seven-time Cup Series Champion is making another Next Gen car start this weekend, piloting the No. 84 Toyota for Legacy Motor Club. As has been the case in previous races, Johnson struggled to find speed.

Christopher Bell - The No. 20 Toyota looked very speedy in this practice session, and Bell noted that it's the best car he's ever had at Kansas Speedway.
