Gameweek 6 Rankings - Fantasy Premier League Predictions, Tips, and Picks for 2024/25

RANKINGS - FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE, SOCCER

FPL Gameweek 6 rankings, predictions, tips, and picks for Fantasy Premier League lineups. RotoBaller's EPL fantasy Gameweek 6 rankings for the 2024/25 FPL season.

Welcome to the FPL Gameweek 6 rankings, RotoBallers! With so many managers using their Wildcard chip in Gameweek 6, these rankings should be used as the final decider for those last-minute decisions in FPL.

There's Monday night football in Gameweek 6 (Bournemouth-Southampton) to cap off a stacked primetime schedule. Newcastle-Man City kicks off the gameweek before Wolves and Liverpool finish the Saturday slate. Then Sunday's marquee matchup sees Man United welcome Spurs to Old Trafford.

The Gameweek 6 deadline of the 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League season is Saturday, September 28, at 6:00 a.m. EDT, when West Ham hosts Man United. Also, check out the rest of our excellent soccer coverage as the squad gets you all set for every English Premier League slate and UEFA Champions League game with our EPL DFS lineup picks and betting picks.

Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 6 Rankings

Our weekly rankings highlight players who could be worth a punt in your Fantasy Premier League squad. While the rankings will be filled with familiar names, a low-owned player with an easy fixture will rise up the charts.

For each gameweek, we will provide our top 15 goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. These can also be applied as DFS rankings for your weekend contests. Don't miss our Friday updates to account for any injuries or team news breaking later in the week.

FPL Gameweek 5 High Scorers

Goalkeeper: Robert Sanchez, CHE - 10 points

Defender: Trent Alexander-Arnold, LIV - 11 points

Midfielder: Luis Diaz, LIV - 16 points

Forward: Nicolas Jackson, CHE - 16 points

FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 6 Rankings

As of this writing, there has been no update on David Raya's (£5.6m) status for Gameweek 6. The Spanish shot-stopper is dealing with a thigh issue. If he were to miss the game against Leicester, Neto (£4.3m) would likely make his first start for the Gunners after joining on loan from Bournemouth.

Through five weeks, Nottingham Forest has conceded the third-fewest goals (4) and the third-fewest expected goals (4.05 xGC). They will face Fulham on Saturday. This spells good things for Matz Sels (£4.5m), as the Cottagers have only scored one goal away from Craven Cottage this season.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 6 Rankings

Everyone is flocking toward Gabriel (£6.1m) on their Wildcard this week, but I can't shake the feeling that it's a points-chasing sensation. I would zag with William Saliba (£6.0m). The Frenchman is just as dangerous off set pieces, and his spot is more secure in Arsenal's starting XI than his fellow center-back.

Which Josko Gvardiol (£5.9m) will we see this weekend? The left center back or the left wing? If it's the latter, the Croatian is a desirable differential compared to the aforementioned Arsenal duo or Liverpool's Andrew Robertson (£6.0m).

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 6 Rankings

Without Ivan Toney and Yoane Wissa to compete with for attacking chances, Bryan Mbeumo (£7.2m) is set to thrive for Brentford. The Cameroonian international already has three goals in two home games during the 2024/25 FPL season.

Luis Diaz (£8.0m) should start for Liverpool versus Wolves in the late Saturday game, but his 11th-place ranking shows us how much of a rotation risk there is at Anfield. With Diogo Jota (£7.5m), Cody Gakpo (£7.2m), and Darwin Nunez (£7.2m) all fighting for one of two spots, the Colombian's minutes will always be capped at 60-70 each week.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 6 Rankings

After a slow start to the season, Ollie Watkins (£9.0m) has four returns in his last three games. A road game versus Ipswich's defense could thrust the Englishman into the captaincy discussion for Gameweek 6, but several premium options are available to FPL managers.

Nicolas Jackson (£7.7m) is another popular name for FPL managers playing the Wildcard this week. However, it may not be a long-term selection. After fixtures versus Brighton and Nottingham Forest, Chelsea plays four straight contests against Liverpool, Newcastle, Man United, and Arsenal.
