Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers - Top Waiver Wire Pickups and Starts for Week 24 (Sept 2 - Sept 8)

JJ Bleday - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Fantasy baseball hitter streamers and starts for Week 24 of the 2024 season. Thunder Dan Palyo analyzes the top batter streamers to pick up in Week 24.

Only a few weeks remain in MLB's regular season, but at RotoBaller we have you covered with waiver adds and pickups all the way til the end!

Our hitter streamers fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify hitters with good matchups that can be considered waiver wire streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire runs for leagues with weekly transactions.

In this piece, every week, I'll look to find hitters playing in the most games and who have the most favorable matchups to help you plug those gaps and fill those holes in your roster. You can also check out the rest of our fantasy baseball streamer content here at RotoBaller.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball draft tools and resources:

What Teams Offer The Most Streaming Value?

Seven teams are playing seven games this week - ARI, MIN, OAK, PIT, SEA, TB, TEX

The Toronto Blue Jays play only five games this week.

Every other team plays six games.

Week 24 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers

I'll recommend only players who are 40% rostered or lower, and all roster percentages are from Yahoo!

JJ Bleday, OF - OAK (32%)

Bleday remains one of the top adds this week as the young lefty slugger has five home runs, ten runs scored, and nine RBI over the last two weeks.

He's struggled with his average most of the season, but he's now up to .248 on the season and 20 home runs. He's been a top-50 player now for the last month and deserves to be rostered in far more leagues than he is currently!

Austin Wells, C - NYY (28%)

Wells is having a sneaky good season after an incredibly slow start. The rookie backstop is now up to a .259 average with 12 home runs and 42 RBI.

He's been demolishing Cardinal pitching this weekend, going 4-9 in this series with two home runs and four RBI. He's on the strong side of the platoon at catcher and usually hits cleanup when he's in the lineup behind the best 1-2 punch in baseball (Judge + Soto).

Jesse Winker, OF - NYM (28%)

Up until recently, I viewed the Mets trade for Winker largely as a mistake. They already had a lot of outfielders, and Winker didn't really stand out as a major upgrade over their existing options.

But Jesse has been back on a tear lately, collecting eight hits in his last three games, including a home run. The Mets will host Boston once they return home tomorrow, and Winker should see three right-handers in a row in that series.

Matt Wallner, OF - MIN (17%)

Wallner is a bit of a boom/bust play daily, but he's moved into a full-time role as the cleanup hitter for the Twins (against righties) and is no longer platooning in the outfield. He's got massive power, as demonstrated by his 10 homers in just 146 at-bats, and is a great add for RBI, too.

Brandon Marsh, OF - PHI (16%)

Marsh has picked it up lately for the Phils, who have needed more offense from their supporting cast. He's hitting .297 with three home runs and two stolen bases over the last two weeks. The playing time has been there, as he had made ten straight starts before finally getting a day off yesterday.

Paul DeJong, SS/3B - KC (12%)

DeJong might have a strong case for Comeback Player of the Year, as he had a very strong year between Chicago and Kansas City. He's been raking lately for the Royals, piling up three home runs over the last week with five RBI and six runs scored. He ended up being a great, cheap acquisition by KC at the deadline and could be the same for your fantasy team down the stretch.

Spencer Horwitz, 1B/2B - TOR (12%)

Just when you think I am done recommending Horwitz, he shows up yet again - ha! He cranked his ninth home run yesterday and drove in three more runs, officially snapping a short cold streak and putting him firmly back in play for this week - though I would wait to add him until Tuesday as the Jays have tomorrow off.

Ramon Laureano, OF - ATL (11%)

Laureano has filled in for Atlanta quite admirably, hitting at a .320 clip over the last two weeks with a pair of home runs and stolen bases. He was once a top-of-the-order hitter with the As and is only a few seasons removed from being a really productive major-league hitter.

Parker Meadows, OF - DET (11%)

Meadows is a legit five-tool prospect who has had a strong showing in the last 5-6 weeks after struggling for the first few months of the season and being demoted for most of the summer.

He's been leading off for the Tigers and has some impressive power and speed that you won't find elsewhere on the wire. He's cranked five home runs this year and stolen nine bases - and remember that he's done most of that in just about a month of action since coming back up from Triple-A.

Fantasy Baseball Deep League Hitter Streamers to Consider

Some widely available hitters (under 10% rostered) could be worth a look this week.

Victor Robles, OF - SEA (8%)

Zach McKinstry, 2B/3B/SS/OF - DET (7%)

Nick Gonzales, 2B/SS - PIT (6%)

Miguel Rojas, 2B/SS - LAD (5%)

Will Wagner, 2B - TOR (4%)

Trevor Larnach, OF - MIN (3%)

Good luck this week, and choose those streaming options wisely!
