BALLER MOVE: Stash in All Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: July
ANALYSIS: Washington Nationals outfield prospect James Wood (hamstring) has been on the injured list since May 28 with right hamstring tightness. However, he has recently begun ramping up baseball activities, which suggests he could be nearing his return to the diamond.
Before the injury, Wood was on an impressive run through his first 45 games at Triple-A, with a .355/.465/.596 line, nine long balls, 31 RBI, ten stolen bases, and an stellar 35:37 BB:K ratio.
#FantasyBaseball#NATITUDE James Wood is having an absolute day! 4-5 with 2 HR, a double, and a single🔥🔥 BBEs:

This is a significant improvement compared to his Double-A production last summer, when he held a .248 AVG and a much worse 39:124 BB:K ratio. It is very promising to see the budding superstar post his best numbers in the minor leagues against the toughest competition.
While this injury did push back a potential major league debut until later in the summer, Wood should still remain rostered in all leagues. With his excellent combination of power and speed, the number five overall prospect on MLB.com could be a league winner in the second half of the season.
