Junior Caminero is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 10 (2024). Target Junior Caminero as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Stash in All Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: June
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Rays infield prospect Junior Caminero is nearing a promotion to the major leagues and should be considered a must-stash in all leagues.
Through 31 games with Triple-A Durham, the number three overall prospect in baseball has posted a .268/.331/.480 line with seven home runs, 23 RBI, and an 11:33 BB:K ratio. Caminero was exceptional through March and April with a .333 and .306 AVG, respectively, but has been in a bit of a skid through May with a .241 AVG.

In his past seven games, Caminero's performance has been less than stellar, with just three hits and a poor .103 AVG.
However, more importantly, Caminero has begun to see opportunities starting at second base. This is a great sign, as Caminero has registered several starts at second base, shortstop, and primarily third base over the past two seasons. Tampa Bay clearly values his bat and is trying to find a spot for him in their lineup. Having experience at several defensive positions will only help the 20-year-old's chances of being promoted to the major leagues.
With his elite prospect pedigree and upside power, Caminero is a must-stash player in all leagues, as he could finish as a top-10 option at several infield positions by the end of the summer.
