MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/7/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Bailey Ober - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, Draft Sleepers

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on May 7, 2024. Use Euan's MLB DFS sleepers picks for building optimal DFS rosters to win big.

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! There are 15 games on the schedule, but we only get eight in the featured contests on DraftKings and FanDuel. Regardless of the size of the slate, this article will bring you the best picks to build your DFS lineups.

The first game of our featured contests starts at 7:05 p.m. EDT as Houston opens its series against New York in Yankee Stadium. Then, we watch another six games before the final matchup of the evening starts between Miami and Los Angeles in Dodger Stadium. As for the weather, we only need to worry about some strong winds in Atlanta, Kansas City, and Minnesota.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/7/2024. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Follow me on X @EuanFPL for more DFS advice.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs. Marlins ($10.1K DraftKings; $10.2K FanDuel)

There's not much to pick between the top arms on Tuesday's slate, but Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the nod because of his matchup with Miami. Since his first shaky start of the year in South Korea, the newly-acquired Dodgers righty has been excellent. In Yamamoto's last six starts, he's spun a 1.64 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and a 25.2 percent K-BB%, averaging 22.5 DraftKings PPG. The Marlins sit inside the bottom seven for OPS (.650), wOBA (.291), and wRC+ (87) against right-handed pitchers this year.

Bailey Ober vs. Mariners ($7.6K DK; $8.5K FD)

While Yamamoto has the natural strikeout upside of an ace, Bailey Ober can manufacture that same energy in a matchup with Seattle. The Twins right-handed hurler has at least six strikeouts in three of his last five outings and has generally settled down since his Opening Day blowup. Throw in Seattle's league-leading strikeout rate against RHPs (28.7 percent), and you've got some discounted strikeouts as your SP2 on DK.

Also consider: Shota Imanaga vs. SDP, Kyle Harrison at COL, Luis Gil vs. HOU, Jose Butto at STL

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jon Singleton - 1B, HOU at Luis Gil ($2.8K DK; $2.6K FD)

Last week, Houston called up its top prospect, Joey Loperfido. However, it's been a former top prospect, Jon Singleton, who is making headlines. Over the last 10 games, the first baseman slashes .258/.314/.548 with six runs, eight RBI, one double, and three home runs. A slugging left-hander hitting in Yankee Stadium is a worthy investment for our DFS lineups.

Michael Massey - 2B, KC vs. Colin Rea ($3.3K DK; $2.7K FD)

After suffering a back injury late in Spring Training, Michael Massey has been back with the Royals for a few weeks and is having a solid start to 2024. Through 15 games, the second baseman owns a .294 batting average and a .837 OPS. The 26-year-old has a nine-game hit streak at the moment, and during that run, Massey's posting a .375/.394/.719 slash line with seven runs, eight RBI, two doubles, and three home runs. He's always in the lineup when a RHP is on the mound, and he will bat fifth for a top-half-of-the-league Royals offense.

Brett Baty - 3B, NYM at Miles Mikolas ($2.9K DK; $2.9K FD)

The Brett Baty experience has yet to live up to the hype that many were hoping for when he was called up in 2023. However, through 33 games this season, the former top prospect has cut his strikeout rate, raised his walk rate, and raised his wOBA by 40 points. Actually, over the last week, Baty's .449 wOBA is 21st in the majors among 195 qualified bats. The 24-year-old has climbed from eighth to sixth in the Mets lineup and will see many more DFS-points-accruing opportunities.

Also consider: Carlos Santana, Connor Wong, Luis Arraez, Josh Rojas, Mookie Betts

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Andy Pages - OF, LAD vs. Edward Cabrera ($4.0K DK; $3.3K FD)

If Andy Pages weren't on a team with Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman, he would be the talk of the league. The rookie got the major league call on April 16 and has done nothing but mash since he arrived. On the year, Pages has blasted a .902 OPS with 14 runs, 12 RBI, five doubles, and four home runs, averaging 9.3 DK PPG. At his Tuesday price, the right-handed outfielder is still a great value despite batting in the lower half of a star-studded Dodgers lineup.

Jurickson Profar - OF/1B, SD at Shota Imanaga ($3.9K DK; $3.3K FD)

The weekly wOBA leaders were mentioned during the Baty portion of today's article, but Jurickson Profar is one of the few bats ahead of the Mets infielder. Over the last week, Profar has been crushing baseballs with a 1.389 OPS and .607 wOBA. That wOBA mark is third behind Brent Rooker and Ohtani. Rooker isn't on this slate, and Ohtani is much more expensive. If you need to save money, Profar can slot in at outfield or first base on FanDuel, making lineup construction much more manageable.

Willi Castro - OF/3B/SS, MIN vs. Emerson Hancock ($3.8K DK; $3.0K FD)

While Profar's positional flexibility is nice, it's nothing compared to Willi Castro. The Twins utility bat plays most of his games in the outfield, but he occasionally drops into the infield and plays third base. Since April 26, Castro sports a 1.063 OPS with 10 runs, four RBI, five doubles, two triples, and a home run, averaging 11.6 DK PPG. The savings are minimal on DK, so take your preferred bat there. However, the $300 in savings from Castro over Profar will be enough to upgrade your starting pitcher or another bat to raise the ceiling of your lineup.

Also consider: Shohei Ohtani, Christopher Morel, Juan Soto, Kyle Tucker, Max Kepler

2. Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Edward Cabrera
