EPL Betting Picks and FPL Game Previews for Matchday 32: English Premier League

Jamie Steed previews EPL Matchday 32 of the 2023-24 season, starting on 4/6/2024. He previews each game from the English Premier League; picking bets, analyzing the FPL impacts, and looking at the best options for your lineups.

The EPL season rolls on and so does the coverage from the RotoBaller soccer team. We're offering up our favorite betting pick for each game, along with a score prediction, and will include a player to look out for in fantasy from each fixture. Before you read on, remember these essential things: betting on sports should be fun. If you aren't having fun with it, stop. And never bet what you can't afford to lose.

Matchday 32 kicks off a little more than 36 hours after Matchday 31 ended. It was another enthralling set of games, although the congested fixture list looked like it took its toll on some teams. With the three title challengers all playing on the road this weekend, it could have huge repercussions on the final standings. Due to the short turnaround, the write-ups are very abbreviated this week.

We've been cranking up the soccer content at RotoBaller, too. We're still bringing you dedicated DFS and Fantasy Premier League content on top of the weekly preview and betting content, which can be found here. Follow the team on X (@EuanFPL, @LucidMediaDFS, @df_solutions, @BellRoto, and yours truly @Baseball_Jimbo), and reach out to any of us if you ever have any soccer questions.

Crystal Palace (+900) vs. Manchester City (-320) - 7:30 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Crystal Palace 1 – 3 Manchester City

Manchester City have kept one clean sheet in their last eight away games. Palace have scored in their last seven home games. Both teams to score is overpriced at plus odds.

Fantasy Player Pick: Phil Foden

Fresh off a match-winning hat-trick, Foden could take the lead as the highest FPL points scorer with a goal return. He's been City's main player for most of the season.

Aston Villa (-150) vs. Brentford (+370) - 10:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Aston Villa 2 – 1 Brentford

Brentford have two wins in their last 17 EPL games. They've not won any of their last eight. Even without Ollie Watkins, Villa should have too much at home.

Fantasy Player Pick: Douglas Luiz

Without Watkins, Villa will need Luiz to continue his impressive home record. He has every chance to do so against an out-of-form Brentford.

Everton (-145) vs. Burnley (+390) - 10:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Everton 1 – 0 Burnley

Everton's scored more than one goal once in their last 13 EPL games. Burnley's only scored 16 goals in 15 away games. This looks like being a low-scoring affair. I'm taking the under for total goals at evens.

Fantasy Player Pick: Dwight McNeil

Everton needs inspiration from somewhere. Burnley's former player might provide it.

Fulham (+140) vs. Newcastle United (+180) - 10:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Fulham 2 – 2 Newcastle United

Eight of Fulham's last 10 home games have seen at least three goals. Seven of Newcastle's last eight away games have seen at least three goals. Taking the over for total goals in this game is too appealing to turn down.

Fantasy Player Pick: Rodrigo Muniz

Muniz has seven goal involvements (six goals and one assist) in his last four home starts. Newcastle's 32 goals conceded on their travels are joint third-most. Muniz is in a great spot to continue his hot form.

Luton Town (+265) vs. Bournemouth (-110) - 10:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Luton Town 3 – 2 Bournemouth

Of Luton's 15 home games, both teams have scored in 12 of them. Bournemouth came from 3-0 down to win 4-3 in the reverse fixture. Both teams scoring in this one look nailed on.

Fantasy Player Pick: Tahith Chong

Chong has a goal involvement in five of his last eight games. He didn't start the midweek loss at Arsenal so should be a bit fresher than most for this encounter.

Wolves (+155) vs. West Ham United (+170) - 10:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Wolves 1 – 1 West Ham United

Wolves have played eight of the current top 10 teams at home. Both teams have scored in all eight games. West Ham have scored and conceded in 11 of their 15 away games. Both teams to find the net looks in order here.

Fantasy Player Pick: Rayan Aït-Nouri

Aït-Nouri has a goal involvement in three of his last five EPL games. He scored and assisted in Wolves FA Cup quarter-final defeat last month as well. Wolves will continue to depend on the wing-back to get forward more while they are missing key attacking players.

Brighton (+425) vs. Arsenal (-160) - 12:30 p.m. EDT

Score prediction: Brighton 1 – 2 Arsenal

Arsenal's kept three clean sheets in their last four games. But two came against teams in the relegation zone. They could win this by scoring a bag full but I expect Brighton to find the net. There are different ways this game could go, most will see at least three goals scored.

Fantasy Player Pick: Martin Ødegaard

The Arsenal captain has now scored three goals with three assists in his last seven games. He's been in excellent form and will be key for Arsenal if they are to maintain their title push.

Sunday, April 7, 2024

Manchester United (+360) vs. Liverpool (-155) - 10:30 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Manchester United 1 – 2 Liverpool

Manchester United reminded everyone just how unpredictable they are on Thursday. One thing I will predict is they will find a way to lose on Sunday. Liverpool will be too strong for a team lacking confidence.

Fantasy Player Pick: Mo Salah

Salah blanked in the reverse fixture. Before that, he had scored nine goals with four assists in his previous five EPL meetings with Manchester United. Salah also scored in their FA Cup quarter-final clash last month and has eight goals in his last five visits to Old Trafford in all competitions.

Sheffield United (+600) vs. Chelsea (-255) - 12:00 p.m. EDT

Score prediction: Sheffield United 1 – 3 Chelsea

Sheffield United earned plaudits for their performance at Anfield on Thursday. They still conceded three goals and remain on course to set a Premier League record for goals conceded. Chelsea have scored 17 goals in their last seven EPL games. They will run out comfortable winners.

Fantasy Player Pick: Cole Palmer

Palmer was the hero on Thursday and has now scored or assisted 25 of Chelsea's 53 league goals. He could easily add another hat trick to his ledger this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur (-250) vs. Nottingham Forest (+600) - 1:00 p.m. EDT

Score prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2 – 1 Nottingham Forest

Tottenham's won seven of their last eight home games. Forest have lost nine of their 15 away games, losing seven of nine against the current top team teams. Tottenham don't tend to make things easy on themselves but a home win should be the play here.

Fantasy Player Pick: Brennan Johnson

Johnson has started just three of Tottenham's last five EPL games. Yet, he has two goals and four assists in that time. He gets to face his former club in fine form.

Betting Picks

The below table gives the odds for each of the three main plays for each game (moneyline, total goals, and both teams to score). My favorite pick from each game is highlighted if you are looking to build a parlay (which I will be playing and tracking).

Season parlays 2/29 (-21.27u) 7/29 (+8.34u) 9/29 (+19.14u)

Good luck with those FPL teams and EPL bets. Remember to bet responsibly!
