NBA DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/29/24)

Today's top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel on January 29, 2024. Mike Barner's NBA DFS sleeper picks for building winning DFS lineups.

The NBA starts off the week with a jam-packed schedule Monday that features 24 teams in action. The main slate on DraftKings will consist of the first 11 games of the evening, while FanDuel has decided to just include the first 10 games in their main slate.

A lot of games mean that there are plenty of injuries to consider. Julius Randle (shoulder) will not play for the Knicks. Some big names who are listed as questionable include Joel Embiid (knee), Tyrese Maxey (ankle), and LaMelo Ball (ankle).

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 1/29/23. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 PM EST on FanDuel and DraftKings.

Today's DraftKings, FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Devin Booker, PHX at MIA – PG/SG ($9,800 DK; $9,900 FD)

Booker has scored at least 44 points in four of his last six games. Despite facing a Magic team that has fifth-best defensive rating in the league, he produced 44 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocks Sunday. When a player as talented as him is locked in like this, he’s difficult to pass up in DFS.

Mikal Bridges, BKN vs. UTA – SG/SF ($7,200 DK; $7,900 FD)

Bridges has seen an uptick in his production lately, averaging 26.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.3 steals over his last nine games. Not only did he shoot 47.4 percent from the field during that span, but he averaged 39 minutes. This is a favorable matchup for him to remain productive, given that the Jazz rank inside the top-10 in the league in pace of play and inside the bottom-10 in defensive rating.

Tre Jones, SA vs. WAS – PG ($5,800 DK; $6,400 FD)

A look at his overall numbers for the season does not tell the full story for Jones. The Spurs started out with him coming off the bench, which limited his playing time. However, he has started each of his last 12 games. Since the move was made, he has averaged 13.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.5 steals. The Spurs and Wizards both rank inside the top-four in the league in pace of play, so expect him to have plenty of opportunities to provide value.

ALSO CONSIDER: Collin Sexton, UTA at BKN – PG/SG ($6,900 DK; $7,600 FD), Devin Vassell, SA vs. WAS – PG/SG ($6,700 DK; $7,600 FD)

Today's DraftKings, FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Victor Wembanyama, SA vs. WAS– PF/C ($8,900 DK; $10,300 FD)

There is a lot to like about Wembanyama’s playing time trends. He played in both games of a back-to-back set for the Spurs on Friday and Saturday, marking the first time that he has done so since November. Not only did he play in that second game, but he logged 30 minutes. Plenty of minutes in a game in which not much defense is likely to be played leaves Wembanyama with tremendous upside.

Cam Thomas, BKN vs. UTA – SF/SG ($6,000 DK; $6,600 FD)

Thomas is instant offense. Over the last eight games, he has averaged 23.3 points and shot 49.2 percent from the field. The problem is, he doesn’t provide much in terms of rebounds, assists, or defensive stats. Still, he has a reasonable salary, so he could provide value versus a Jazz team that plays at a fast pace and struggles on defense.

Josh Hart, NY at CHA – SF/PF/SG ($5,400 DK; $5,600 FD)

The injury to Randle puts the Knicks in a tough spot. He is one of their primary scorers and he plays a ton. Hart won’t be able to replace his scoring production, but he will likely assume more playing time. Over 15 games in which he has played at least 30 minutes this season, Hart has averaged 10.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.

ALSO CONSIDER: Paolo Banchero, ORL at DAL – SF/PF ($8,400 DK; $8,600 FD), Vince Williams Jr., MEM vs. SAC – SF/SG ($6,400 DK; $7,000 FD)

Today's DraftKings, FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM vs. SAC – C/PF ($8,100 DK; $8,800 FD)

The Grizzlies being decimated by injuries has left Jackson with a leading role. To say he has stepped up would be an understatement. Over his last 11 games, he has provided 25.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 blocks. The Kings don’t have much of a defensive presence inside the paint with Domantas Sabonis manning the middle, so Jackson should have a high floor.

Nicolas Claxton, BKN vs. UTA – C ($6,900 DK; $7,800 FD)

Claxton has quietly become a reliable big man for the Nets. He is averaging a double-double for the first time in his career with 12.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. He has also provided 2.2 rejections per game, putting him on pace to average at least that many blocks for the second straight season. Among the mid-tier salaried centers, Claxton is one of the more appealing options.

Nick Richards, CHA vs. NY – C ($5,600 DK; $6,700 FD)

Mark Williams (back) isn’t returning anytime soon. That leaves the starting center job firmly in the hands of Richards, who recently missed three games of his own with an ankle injury. Over the three games since he made his return, he averaged 20.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks. The Knicks will be missing one of their better rebounders in Randle, so don’t sleep on Richards.

ALSO CONSIDER: Rudy Gobert, MIN at OKC – C ($7,300 DK; $8,500 FD), Daniel Gafford, WAS at SA – C ($6,000 DK; $7,000 FD)
