Is Zach Wilson Injured or Healthy? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Zach Wilson - Fantasy Football Rankings, DFS Lineup Picks

Is Zach Wilson injured or healthy? Is Zach Wilson playing in Week 15? Read the latest Zach Wilson fantasy football injury updates and outlook.

Don’t look now, but we have a new fantasy football force on our hands!

New York Jets quarterback/franchise fiasco Zach Wilson has struggled mightily this season and throughout his short career. He has been pegged as one of a long line of quarterback busts. Most fantasy footballers and Jets fans would prefer to see Aaron Rodgers throwing passes one-footed than have Wilson out there throwing scattershot balls into the ground and over his receivers’ heads.

But guess what? After a two-game sabbatical, Wilson led the Jets to an upset victory over the Houston Texans and was shockingly named AFC Offensive Player of the Week. So will Wilson be able to keep his fantasy momentum going against the Miami Dolphins this weekend?  If the odds were not already against him, he popped up on the injury report this week. Here is the latest:

Is Zach Wilson Injured or Healthy?

Wilson might not be 100 percent, but he is in no danger of sitting out Sunday. While he is listed as having a knee injury, he was full participant in practice from Wednesday on and there has been no question that he will be the starting signal caller for “Gang Green” against the Dolphins.

Wilson is a risky fantasy bet this week, despite Miami’s secondary being banged-up and looking shaky against Tennessee this past Monday night. I know he played like the second-coming of Chad Pennington in his last start, but he has been one of the worst fantasy quarterbacks in the league all season long. Wilson has had more games passing for under 200 yards than over 200 in 2023. He has only thrown for multiple touchdowns in two games this season, and one was last week.

Wilson has been especially putrid in road games this year. His QB rating is 23 points lower away from home, and he has a 54.5 completion percentage and a three-to-six touchdown-to-interception ratio in road contests. Unless you are in the most desperate of desperate situations in your fantasy league, it is best to stay away from using Wilson in Week 15.
