Calvin Ridley's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 14 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Calvin Ridley for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team PPR Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS: Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley has struggled with consistency this season. He has three games of 100 or more receiving yards but also has seven games with 40 or fewer yards. It's been a bit of a gamble with him each week in fantasy.
Week 14's game against the Browns continues that gamble. On one hand, the Cleveland Browns have the NFL's best pass defense, allowing an NFL-best 153.4 passing yards per game. The Jaguars will be without quarterback Trevor Lawrence for this one, so there's a chance that this team will really struggle to move the football.
On the other hand, wide receiver Christian Kirk is out as well, so C.J. Beathard might spend a big chunk of this game looking for Ridley in the passing game. Those passes will need to actually be completed for Ridley to have a big fantasy showing, but the upside is there.
Due to the circumstances surrounding him this week, fantasy managers should treat Calvin Ridley as a boom/bust WR3 play against the Browns on Sunday.
