DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (10/31/23)

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Tuesday (10/31/23). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We are about halfway through the greatest 50 days of the year for any football fan. October 8 was the first of 50 consecutive days of either FBS or NFL football. What a time to be alive! For all of the evil things the Mouse does, one thing that is right about all of this is ESPN gobbling up the TV rights to Conference USA, the Fun Belt, and the MAC. Instead of putting those games on ESPN+ on Saturdays, they did the right thing for everyone and gave us mid-week football. The ESPN money may have destroyed the Pac-12, but it also gave us this. It's no substitute, but I'm not going to complain about football on my TV every single night, are you?

A wonderful byproduct of this is more college football DFS. Sign me up! Halloween night kicks off MACtion this year. We start off in Mount Pleasant, Michigan with Northern Illinois coming to town. The nightcap takes us to Toledo where the Rockets will host Buffalo. It's not Jaret Patterson vs. Bryant Koback, but we'll cope.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/31/23, locking at 7 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

College Football Betting Picks October 31:

I don't have the full odds article done yet, so we are just going to do this here. That's what Tuesday games do to me. You know the drill!

Northern Illinois (-4.5) at Central Michigan

Betting Confidence Factor: 3

Just a reminder to go pound this line on FanDuel. They have it at -3.5 and it is up to -5.5 at every other book. Bert Emanuel Jr. is expected to be back for the Chippewas, but it isn't enough. Give me NIU.

Buffalo at Toledo (-15.5)

Betting Confidence Factor: 2

This feels high. Toledo has won the last two games by a combined 11 points (one of those against Ball State, the MAC doormat). They only beat UMass by 17 the week before. I like this Toledo offense, but they haven't been as explosive lately. As bad as Buffalo has been (they lost to Fordham in Week 2), only Liberty and Wisconsin covered this line. I'll take the Bulls.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Dequan Finn, Toledo ($8,300)

Buffalo's pass defense has been solid, but they are giving up 183.2 rushing yards per game on the ground this year. Dequan Finn should be able to use his wheels to get value in this one. The Texas Southern game was the only game in which Finn didn't hit at least 25 rushing yards. That is also the only game in which he didn't carry the ball at least six times. We're not playing Finn for passing yards. He's another running back who also has 14 passing touchdowns!

Rocky Lombardi, Northern Illinois ($6,500)

The former Michigan State quarterback has been solid in DeKalb this year. Horrible games against Nebraska and Tulsa are skewing the stat line. Rocky Lombardi has at least a dozen DraftKings points in every other game. He's not going to break a slate, but he's not going to hurt you either. Lombardi hasn't turned the ball over since Week 3 against Nebraska.

Also consider: Jase Bauer, Central Michigan ($7,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Peny Boone, Toledo ($6,100)

Peny Boone doesn't have the top-end speed of Kareem Hunt and he isn't a bulldozer like Bryant Koback, but he has proven to be the next great Toledo back. The Redhawks broke his streak of 100-yard games at five last week. He'll begin a new streak against Buffalo here. Boone ran all over Western Michigan earlier this year with 211 yards. He might get close to that here.

Gavin Williams, Northern Illinois ($5,100)

Gavin Williams hasn't had a game where he has out-touched Antario Brown yet, but it could be coming soon. Williams racked up 80 rushing yards against Eastern Michigan on just seven carries and also caught four passes. The Central Michigan run defense has been a problem this year. Both Williams and Brown could be in for big games here. There should be plenty of work for both. I choose Williams because he has more yards on far fewer carries than Brown in each of the last two games.

Also consider: Antario Brown, Northern Illinois ($5,700); Ron Cook Jr., Buffalo ($5,100)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Trayvon Rudolph, Northern Illinois ($5,700)

Trayvon Rudolph exploded last week with Kacper Rutkiewicz out. It has been nine days since NIU's last game, and as usual, we have no news on Rutkiewicz and we might not before kickoff. To me, that risk is baked into the price. Rudolph was still having solid games with Rutkiewicz in the lineup. With Rudolph's big game last time out, he might be ahead of Rutkiewicz in the pecking order anyway.

Tyson Davis, Central Michigan ($5,400)

Tyson Davis has 11 receptions over the last two games. It was Jesse Prewitt III who was the preferred target earlier in the season, but Davis seems to have wrestled the job away, at least for now. NIU's run defense has been strong this year, so I expect the Chippewas to throw a little more than usual. Davis should keep his hot streak going tonight.

Marlyn Johnson, Buffalo ($5,200)

The Bulls don't throw a lot, but they also haven't played from way behind in a while. If the spread on this game is right, Buffalo should have to throw more than they are comfortable with. While I wouldn't use Cole Snyder in DFS, Marlyn Johnson is firmly in play as the leading receiver for the Bulls. He's an interesting GPP dart tonight.

Also consider: Jerjuan Newton, Toledo ($7,000); Jesse Prewitt III, Central Michigan ($5,300); Devin Maddox, Toledo ($4,900)

DraftKings CFB Stacks:

Toledo

There is simply no reason for Toledo's offense to struggle like it does. Boone is a really good back. Finn, Newton, and Maddox all combined for a strong passing attack last year as well, so what gives? I don't know the answer, but it likely looks something like the Buffalo defense. There is huge potential here for anyone in a Toledo uniform.

Also consider: Northern Illinois
