Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert is coming off of a season in which he was finally healthy again, playing in all but two games. Mostert was on the field for 53.4% of snaps and accounted for 891 rushing yards, 202 receiving yards, and 5 total touchdowns.

In the offseason, the Dolphins drafted a speedster in De'Von Achane, who will likely take snaps from both Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. Despite increased competition, Mostert has continued to be available during the preseason and has reportedly gained 10 pounds to become more durable. Meanwhile, Wilson Jr. and Achane have been dealing with injuries this preseason. Wilson Jr. was placed on IR for the first four games of the season, while Achane has been dealing with a shoulder injury.

Raheem Mostert's 2022 Performance

Mostert finished 2022 as the RB34 with five top-15 running back weeks in PPR formats.  His best performance last season came in week 17 against the Patriots, where he caught 8 passes for 62 yards and a score while adding 29 yards on the ground.

Mostert saw 65% of snaps or more in 7 games last season. Out of those games, he had 3 top-15 weeks. This includes rushing for 79 yards, catching 4 passes for 20 yards, and scoring a touchdown against the Steelers in week 7.

However, in the other 4 games where he received majority of the work, he averaged just 7.25 fantasy points per game. For Mostert to be worth drafting this season, he will need to establish a much safer floor when he is the lead back.

Is Raheem Mostert Worth Drafting For Fantasy Football?

Despite all the trade rumors and potential free-agent signings, the Dolphins will be rolling out Mostert as their RB1 to begin the season. With his current ADP of RB42, the 31-year-old is climbing people's fantasy boards.

From the looks of it, Mostert is now a solid option to draft in fantasy, as he will be the team's primary option for at least the first four weeks of the season. If you still have not drafted, Mostert is a solid option in later rounds, especially if you draft a running back such as Jonathan Taylor or Alvin Kamara in earlier rounds.
