Mid-Week Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Baseball Pickups: Zack Gelof, Mike Tauchman, Davis Schneider, Emerson Hancock, more

Zack Gelof - fantasy baseball draft sleepers DFS MLB injury news

Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 21 (2023). Free agent hitters and pitchers to add include Mike Tauchman, Zack Gelof, Trevor Story, Emerson Hancock, and Davis Schneider.

Welcome RotoBallers to our mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings list for Week 21 - August 7 through August 13 to help you stay on top of the waiver wire, especially in leagues that allow daily moves. The Mariners called up top pitcher prospect Emerson Hancock, and he made his MLB debut on Wednesday. Hancock did not factor into the decision, allowing a run on two hits and three walks while striking out three over five innings. Top prospects such as Kyle Manzardo, Colt Keith, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Masyn Winn, Heston Kjerstad, Troy Johnston, Everson Pereira, and Matt Mervis patiently await the call to the big leagues.

Some notable recent performances include Oakland A's second baseman Zack Gelof, slashing .310/.375/.690, three home runs, five RBI, five runs, and a stolen base over his last eight games. Chicago Cubs Mike Tauchman continues to mash, hitting .407 (11-for-27) with two home runs and seven RBI across his previous nine contests. Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Davis Schneider is slashing .474/.565/.789 with two home runs and five RBI across 23 plate appearances since being promoted to the big leagues on August 4. Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung (thumb) underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a fractured thumb. The 25-year-old is expected to miss the next six weeks. Toronto Blue Jays star shortstop Bo Bichette (knee) is on the injured list with patellar tendinitis in his right knee. Reinforcements are on the way as Cedric Mullins (groin) is set to return from the injured list on Friday after missing multiple weeks with a groin strain.

This week's waiver wire rankings feature players such as Mike Tauchman, Zack Gelof, Trevor Story, Emerson Hancock, Davis Schneider, Luis Rengifo, Brice Turang, Gregory Santos, Wade Miley, Kutter Crawford, Curtis Mead rank among others. We're here, as always, to help you stay on top of the latest waiver wire options, especially in leagues that allow for daily moves. Prospects that are making impacts continue to be called up, so you'll need to be informed. Be sure to stay on top of our weekly waiver wire rankings and turn on MLB news alerts to stay ahead of the curve. Once you're done here, check out our fantasy baseball prospects articles for the latest names to stash and pick up.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List

For anyone who isn't familiar, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free agent adds off waivers.

In addition to that, we are also putting out a second waiver wire rankings list mid-week. Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver wire moves or multiple waiver wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday.

Below you will see our list of waiver wire pickups in our prioritized order. There should be waiver wire recommendations here for all sorts of league sizes, along with the position(s) for the player and the rostered percentages.
