DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/18/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Yordan Alvarez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on July 18, 2023. Dawn Tepper's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! It's great to be back after an exciting All-Star week. We have another large Tuesday slate with great offensive matchups, including San Diego, Atlanta, Houston, and Boston.

I will cover the thirteen-game slate starting at 7:05 pm in this article. We have a Coors game today, where Houston faces the Rockies in an excellent matchup for them in Colorado. The Astros face Noah Davis, a right-hander with an 18.7% strikeout rate and  5.14 xFIP. He has a 54.90% ground ball rate, but his flyball rate is just above the 35% average at 33.3%.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/18/2023 and the slate locking at 7:15 pm ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. Now that we got all that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Bryan Woo, SEA vs. MIN ($7,900 DK, $ --FD)

Right-hander Woo is at home facing Minnesota tonight. Woo's sample size is still tiny, but he has a 2.78 ERA and a 3.29 xFIP in the last seven games. He has a 30.5% strikeout rate and is going up against a Twins team with a 26% rate. The Twins have a 117 wRC+ for the season and, over the last 30 days, a 105 wRC+. They are ranked 24th for both batting average and OBP and 30th in strikeouts for the season. Their bats are still hot, but they are facing a tough righty on the road, and I see Woo adding to his already-impressive K rate versus Minnesota tonight.

Hunter Brown, HOU @ COL ($8,100 DK, $ --FD)

I know it's Coors Field, but Brown has a 28.10% K rate, and the Rockies is 27.2%. He has a 55% ground ball percentage and a 21.50% flyball rate. The Rockies have an 82 wRC+ for the last 30 days, up from 65 wRC+ for the year, well below average. In his previous six games on the road, he is 4-2 with a 3.48 ERA. I'll take "The Diesel" tonight to notch another win versus the Rockies at Coors Field.

Also consider: Nathan Eovaldi, Taj Bradley, Domingo German, Lucas Giolito

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Matt Olson – 1B, ATL vs. Zach Davies ($6,000 DK, $4,300 FD)

Atlanta is at home tonight, facing right-hander Zach Davies. Atlanta has a 105 wRC+ for the season but a whopping 137 for the last 30 days. I expect that number to come back down a bit, but not while facing Davies at home, against his 18.90% K rate. Olson is slashing .276/.366/.611 at home this season and .275/.387/.630 versus righties. Atlanta is one of my favorite stacks tonight, and Olson will be a significant part of that stack.

Gunnar Henderson - C, BAL vs. Michael Grove($4,700 DK, $3,000 FD)

The O's are at home tonight when the temperature will be almost 90 around game time, making an already hitter-friendly park even more susceptible to home runs. Versus the righties this season, Henderson is slashing .257/.336/.532 with 14 home runs and 38 RBI. Baltimore has a 140 wRC+ for the season and 111 for the last 30 days. Grove has a 19.50% HR/FB, well above the almost 10% league average. I'll be expecting to see balls flying over the fences in Camden Yards tonight.

Ketel Marte - 2B, ARI vs. Bryce Elder ($5,400 DK, $3,500 FD)

The Diamondbacks have lost their last four games and desperately need a win. They should get one tonight versus the right-handed Elder in Arizona. Elder has a 2.97 ERA, but his xFIP is 4.16, and he has an 18.9% K rate. In the last 30 days, Marte has five home runs and 17 RBI, all against right-handed pitchers. Marte should make his mark tonight at home, helping the D-backs to get the win at home.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ronald Acuna Jr. – OF, ATL vs. Zach Davies ($6,600 DK, $4,700 FD)

In his last five games, Acuna Jr. is slashing .250/.400/.625, and at home, .326/.421/.576. Versus righties, he is .337/.415/.599. All these stats tell you something you already know; you want him in your lineups tonight, stacks or otherwise. In the last 30 days, he has a .357 batting average with 30 hits, eight home runs, 13 RBI, and 20 runs. He'll add to that line of stats at home tonight versus Davies and the Diamondbacks.

Alex Verdugo – OF, BOS vs. Luis Medina ($ DK, $ FD)

One of my favorite lefty hitters, Verdugo goes up against right-hander Luis Medina tonight, who is 1-2 in his last five starts, 2-7 for the season. Versus lefties, Medina is allowing a .276/.359/.538 slash line, and at home versus left-handed hitters, he has a 17.4% K rate. In four games versus Oakland this season, Verdugo is slashing .417/.500/.750, and against righties for the season, he is .305/.366/.508. All signs point to another solid game from Verdugo and the Red Sox in Oakland tonight.

Juan Soto – OF, MIN vs. Alex Manoah($4,100 DK, $3,300 FD)

For the season, switch-hitting Soto is slashing .262/.414/.478. Versus right-handed pitchers, he is .288/.438/.548 with a 167 wRC+. Manoah has a 6.29 xFIP versus left-handed hitters and 5.67 versus right. San Diego has a 118 wRC+ for the season, 114 for the last 30 days. The Padres are working on getting back on track, and they will continue tonight versus Manoah in Toronto.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Houston Astros vs. Noah Davis

The Astros at Coors Field is leading off our list of possible stacks for tonight. Yes, it'll be chalky, but I won't be fading this stack; I'll look to switch the lineup around for some low-owned players. Davis has an 18.8% strikeout rate and a 5.14 xFIP. I'll be looking at these bats: Yordan Alvarez, Jose Altuve, Yainer Diaz, and Chas McCormick.

Also Consider: San Diego, Atlanta, Boston
