PROSPECT: Colton Cowser, OF, Baltimore Orioles
ANALYSIS: The Baltimore Orioles promoted outfielder Colton Cowser to the big leagues on Tuesday, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports. The 23-year-old is ranked as the second-best prospect in the club's system and slashed .330/.459/.537 with 10 bombs, 54 runs, 40 RBI, and seven steals over 56 games at Triple-A this season.
The Orioles will likely give Cowser everyday playing time in the outfield over Aaron Hicks, who owns just a .698 OPS this season. Fantasy managers looking for offensive help can take a chance on the former first-round pick, but he isn't a must-add in all leagues yet.
