Justin Steele To Start Saturday
Justin Steele's (forearm) bullpen session went well on Thursday, and he will come off the injured list to start on Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles. Because Steele didn't require a minor-league rehab assignment, there's a good chance he'll be limited from a pitch-count perspective on Saturday in his first start in the big leagues since May 31, when he went only three innings against the Tampa Bay Rays. But the 27-year-old southpaw has been very good for Chicago in his 12 starts so far in 2023, going 6-2 with a 2.65 ERA (2.84 FIP), 1.06 WHIP, 16 walks and 58 strikeouts in 68 innings pitched. Steele will be a shaky DFS streamer, but fantasy managers should scoop him up off the waiver wire if he's available.
