New York Jets Schedule: 2023 NFL Games, Strength Of Schedule, Fantasy Outlooks

Breece Hall - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

What is the Jets schedule? View the New York Jets schedule for 2023. NFL games, dates, times and strength of schedule analysis for fantasy football.

The New York Jets’ playoff drought stretches to 12 seasons after finishing with a 7-10 record in 2022. They had a shot at breaking their futility at 7-4 after Week 12. Unfortunately, a six-game losing streak placed them out of contention.

But their agonizing fans have renewed hope after their beloved squad traded for Aaron Rodgers. They wish that adding the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player would be the final act toward getting a postseason berth and possibly the franchise’s second Super Bowl title.

Rodgers said the Super Bowl III trophy looks lonely and would like to add one more to the Jets’ trophy case. However, their potential ride to the playoffs in the 2023 NFL season will be grueling because of their schedule and the quality of their opponents.

2023 Jets Schedule Analysis for Fantasy Football

The Jets have the sixth-strongest schedule based on their opponents’ record last year. They will have a hard time with their division alone with the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and the New England Patriots. Facing these teams twice in the regular season will test the talented Jets squad. It should be noted that the Patriots' defense also led the league in fantasy points last season.

The challenging schedule doesn’t end there because they will face the Eagles, the Cowboys, the Chiefs, and the Chargers, all playoff teams last year. However, they get an extra “home” game when they face their fellow MetLife Stadium tenants, the Giants, even if they are regarded as the road team.

Finally, having Rodgers as quarterback made them must-see television. They have six primetime games in 2023 as compared to one in 2022. Their single primetime game last year was on Thursday night.

New York Jets Season Record Prediction

The New York Jets will end the 2023 regular season with a 10-7 record, enough for a Wild Card spot in the AFC playoffs. They can take advantage of playing ten games at MetLife this season, especially against Atlanta, Houston, and Washington.

Rodgers’ cohesion with his receivers will be crucial to their success. Luckily, former teammates like Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb are there to execute Nathaniel Hackett’s offense as they did in Green Bay.

But while the Jets have a predominantly young roster, their four short weeks can take a toll on their performance. Their six-day turnaround between Weeks 1 and 2 could be a concern, especially when facing top teams in Buffalo and Dallas.

Even worse, they have one Sunday to Friday and one Sunday to Thursday turnaround. It could affect the performance of a veteran quarterback like Rodgers.
