NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 3/20/23

Keeping track of the latest team news and updates leading to the games is essential.

Vegas Odds for the Day

NHL DFS Goalies

Alexandar Georgiev- DK $8.4K | FD $8.6K

Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks

Considering Georgiev's recent play winning four of his last five starts and allowing only 12 goals, it might be wise to draft him on Monday against Chicago. The Bulgarian goaltender has a remarkable record of 31-14-5, with a 2.58 goals-against-average and a .918 save percentage. Additionally, Chicago has been struggling with their offense, ranking last in the NHL with only 2.04 Goals For Per 60, which will be an advantage for Georgiev and the Avalanche heading into the game.

Others To Consider: Joonas Korpisalo (DK $8.1K | FD $8.3K), Sergei Bobrovsky (DK $7.9K | FD $7.3K)

NHL DFS Centers

Tim Stutzle- DK $7.1K | FD $8.6K

Opponent - Pittsburgh Penguins

Despite several excellent centers on the ice Monday, Tim Stutzle of the Senators seems to be overlooked. However, the centerman has been performing exceptionally well this season, with eight goals and ten assists in his last ten games. In fact, he even managed to contribute a goal and an assist against Toronto just one game ago. Given that the Penguins have allowed 16 goals in their previous three games, Stutzle has a high likelihood of continuing to put up points.

Nathan MacKinnon- DK $9.7K | FD $10.4K

Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks

Colorado is preparing to face off against Chicago, and Nathan MacKinnon is a superb pick for the center position. Not only does he have a slightly lower salary than Connor McDavid, but he has also accumulated only four fewer points in the last ten games, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists. In addition, he has taken 47 shots on goal during the previous ten contests, whereas McDavid has produced 33. MacKinnon will have numerous shot opportunities, given that Chicago ranks fifth worst by allowing an average of 34 Shots Against Per 60.

Others To Consider: Connor McDavid (DK $9.9K | FD $10.7K), Leon Draisaitl (DK $8.2K| FD $10.1K)

NHL DFS Wings

Evander Kane-DK $6.2K | FD $7.1K

Opponent - San Jose Sharks

Despite struggling with injuries this season, Evander Kane has been performing exceptionally well. In his most recent game against Seattle on Saturday, he recorded a hat trick with just three shots. Over the last ten games, he has amassed a total of 11 hits and taken 28 shots on goal. Kane is poised to capitalize on the Sharks' weak goaltending, having given up 27 goals during their six-game losing streak.

Mikko Rantanen-DK $7.9K| FD 9.5K

Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks

Looking ahead to Colorado's game against Chicago, Mikko Rantanen is an excellent pick for those seeking a winger option. He provides a less expensive alternative for players on FanDuel and DraftKings compared to top winger Panthers Matthew Tkachuk. Additionally, Rantanen has six goals and six assists in the last ten games. Rantanen will make an impact Monday's game against a weak Blackhawks team.

Others To Consider: Matthew Tkachuk (DK $8.5K | FD $10.0K), Zach Hyman (DK $7.0K| FD $8.1K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Brandon Montour- DK $6.1 | FD $7.3K

Opponent - Detroit Red Wings

Brandon Montour presents an affordable defensive option against Detroit on Monday. He has been in solid form recently, with one goal and six assists in four games. Considering the Red Wings have given up 45 goals on the penalty kill, Montour could potentially seize the opportunity, as he has netted three goals and added 24 assists with the man advantage this season.

Cale Makar- DK 7.4K | FD $7.8K

Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks

Cale Makar from Colorado is always a defenseman to consider drafting when the Avalanche is playing. Makar delivered an impressive outing in his last game, recording three assists, one shot, one hit, and three blocked shots. He has found the scoresheet in eight straight games, a stretch in which the 24-year-old has compiled three goals and 16 points, including seven power-play assists. As with every team in the league, Chicago will have their hands full with the superstar defenseman.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Kris Letang (DK $5.9K | FD $6.6K), Erik Karlsson (DK $6.9K | FD $7.7K)

Stacks of the Day

  • COL Stack: Makar-MacKinnon-Rantanen
  • FLA Stack: Montour-Tkachuk-Barkov
  • EDM Stack: Kane-McDavid-Hyman

That's all for today, good luck with your lineups, and thank you for choosing RotoBaller for your NHL DFS needs!
