Adalberto Mondesi is a 2023 fantasy baseball draft sleeper at SS and an ADP draft value. Target Mondesi as an undervalued SS in fantasy baseball drafts.

CURRENT ADP: ~235 overall
ANALYSIS: This is the way. We may never witness Mondesi’s full potential, but paying pennies here just in case is a slam dunk. Mondesi has only managed 50 games and 190 plate appearances over the last two seasons, but even those slump-infested waters supplied six home runs and 20 steals. His 109 games since 2020 host 12 home runs and 44 steals.
Mondesi tore his ACL while attempting a steal in late April so at least he has nearly a full year to get up to speed. You may feel we’ve done this song and dance one too many times by now but Mondesi debuted at 20 and this is but his age-27 season. If he flops and the playing time craters then perhaps hedge with steadier late PAs in J.P./Brandon Crawford or Miguel Rojas.
And now we get to see him pepper the Green Monster to increase his odds of getting on base? Yes, please. Kauffman Stadium does rank sixth on Statcast's Park Factors list but Fenway is third, and without the horrid home run rating (79 for KC, 108 in BOS). Boston had little speed in 2022 with only Trevor Story hitting double-digits, but bigger bases should help Mondesi provide a spark.
