With qualifying for the Pala Casino 400 washed out, William Byron will start in 32nd position on Sunday at Auto Club Speedway. The Hendrick Motorsports Driver got off to a nasty start last week at Daytona. He finished 34th and never factored much at Daytona. The No. 24 car aims to move up quickly at the two-mile intermediate track this week. Byron enjoyed nice place differential at Fontana (+6 or greater) in three straight years. Last year, he led 16 laps before crashing on lap 152. That car kept getting faster as the race went along. Byron likely benefits with Chase Elliott behind him Sunday.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
