Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 2/8/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.
We have a dozen games on the docket for tonight. The early bird features both Nebraska teams leaving the state. The Cornhuskers go to Michigan and Creighton heads to Jersey to take on The Hall. 7 pm gives us the Vols heading West to Nashville to take on Vandy. Boston College heads down to Blacksburg to take on the Hokies. Syracuse heads down to Tallahassee to take on the Noles. We close that hour out with the Cyclones in Morgantown to take on West Virginia.
8 pm brings us Texas Tech in Stillwater. A half-hour later, we have Penn State hosting Wisconsin and Villanova hosting DePaul. We close this out with three 9 pm tips. We have Florida heading to Tuscaloosa to take on the Tide. LSU is in StarkVegas to take on the Bulldogs. We end in Waco with Oklahoma taking on the Bears. This is going to be fun!

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards
Erik Stevenson, West Virginia ($8,300)
Stevenson has 163.75 DraftKings points over the last four games for the Mountaineers. Four games that may change the course of their season. The Mountaineers are 3-1 in those matchups with big wins over Auburn and Oklahoma in that span. Stevenson has spearheaded these games with huge shots from beyond the arc and better-than-normal rebounding. This could be a trend now. I'll bite in a home game against Iowa State.
Kobe Bufkin, Michigan ($7,600)
This is a great matchup for the Wolverines overall and Bufkin in particular. Bufkin has shot much better over the last couple of games, resulting in very good numbers against Ohio State and Northwestern. Bufkin still carries some risk since he hasn't been particularly consistent or efficient for much of the season. I'm willing to ignore all of that in a juicy matchup against Nebraska.
Caleb Asberry, Oklahoma State ($5,300)
Asberry got his first of many starts down the stretch for the Cowboys with Avery Anderson undergoing wrist surgery. He posted 19 points in 33 minutes of court time, good enough for 32.75 DraftKings points. We don't really know if Asberry is going to be able to consistently put up these numbers, but at this price with him starting, it's worth finding out.
Rylan Griffen, Alabama ($4,500)
Griffen was big off the bench for the Tide in the blowout loss to Oklahoma and record-setting win over Vandy. That resulted in more minutes for Griffen against LSU in a much closer contest. It ended up being his third straight game scoring in double figures. Alabama needs that spark of the bench and it appears that they have found it in Griffen. He isn't going to break a slate, but he is putting up good numbers off the bench for the price.
Also consider: Umoja Gibson, DePaul ($8,500); Judah Mintz, Syracuse ($7,900); Makai Ashton-Langford, Boston College ($7,500); Caleb Mills, Florida State ($7,300); Ryan Nembhard, Creighton ($6,800); Will Richard, Florida ($6,000); Keisei Tominaga, Nebraska ($5,400); Mason Madsen, Boston College ($4,100); Otega Oweh, Oklahoma ($3,800)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards
Colin Castleton, Florida ($9,500)
Castleton isn't putting up the lofty numbers that he did last year for the Gators, but he is finally starting to put up good numbers consistently. That's really all we asked. He has at least 30 DraftKings points in all but one game since December 14. The ceiling isn't as high as it was last year, but Castleton won't detonate our lineups like he was earlier in the season either. That's some sort of a happy medium.
Tolu Smith, Mississippi State ($8,000)
The Bulldogs didn't have much direction heading into the SEC/Big 12(10) Challenge, having dropped the prior two games to Bama and Florida by single buckets. They turned their fortunes in the challenge with a big home win over TCU, fueled by a monster game for Smith. He hasn't slowed down since. Tolu has 139.75 DraftKings points in the last three games alone and is facing an awful LSU frontcourt. Lock and load!
Flo Thamba, Baylor ($5,100)
The Bears dominated the Sooners on the interior in the first meeting, particularly on the offensive glass. Thamba snatched double-digit rebounds in that game in 28 minutes of action. The Sooners actually look worse now than before the first Baylor game. Expect the Sooners to be cleared off the glass again and for Thamba to put up some good points on rebounds alone.
Quentin Millora-Brown, Vanderbilt ($4,400)
QMB has lost some minutes with Robbins back, but one has to think that he might start stealing some from the Vandy regulars if he continues to play like this. Millora-Brown has double-digit DraftKings points in four of his last five games. This is going to be tough going against the Vols, but he could also see more minutes if this game gets out of hand.
