DraftKings College Basketball DFS Lineup Picks for 2/1/23 - CBB Daily Fantasy Advice

Zach Edey - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 2/1/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

We have another dozen games on our DraftKings slate tonight. We have three of them starting before the customary 7 pm Eastern slot. Penn State heads to Purdue, Creighton heads out to D.C., and Xavier hosts Providence a half-hour earlier than "normal" time.

At 7, we have Georgia heading to Auburn. Tennessee flies south to Gainesville. Pitt hitchhikes down to Chapel Hill to take on the Heels in Dean Dome. A half-hour later, we get St John's hosting The Hall, Minnesota in Piscataway, and Marquette hosting Villanova. We close this out at 9 pm with Florida State in Raleigh, LSU in Columbia to take on some different-striped Tigers, and Bedlam: Part Deux in Norman. This is going to be a fun one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/1/23, starting at 6:30 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Jalen Pickett, Penn State ($9,500)

Pickett did everything he could to take out the Boilermakers when they played back on January 8. He racked up 52.25 DraftKings points with 26 actual points. Pickett ranks in the top ten of the Big Ten (14) in both rebounds and assists as well as scoring. That allows him to put up some nice DFS scores even if his shot isn't on like it normally is. That leads to a really high ceiling that is worth chasing since I don't see people rushing to use him against the number one team.

Jamarius Burton, Pittsburgh ($8,000)

Burton has started to do more than score of late. He still put in 19 points and grabbed 10 boards against Miami while piling up seven assists. Burton has 32 assists over the last four games, which has raised his ceiling quite a bit. He put up 31 points in the first clash with the Tarheels back at the end of December. We have seen Burton evolve into a better all-around player in the last month and it should carry over here.

AJ Storr, St. John's ($5,500)

The Red Storm have allowed the freshman to play 66 minutes over the last two games and he has responded with 64.75 DraftKings points. That's a pretty elite return for a guy in this price range. The Johnnies have been given a nice spark from Storr. I would expect them to continue to feature the freshman down the stretch since the team has looked better with him in the starting lineup. As with all freshmen, the floor on Storr is low, but considering his output and minutes over the last couple of games, he should still get us tons of value in this price range.

Jabri Abdur-Rahim, Georgia ($4,500)

The Bulldogs are playing roulette with their lineups of late trying to instigate some kind of spark among the ranks. We've seen ceiling games from guys like McBride and Holt, but it hasn't come at the expense of Jabri. He has racked up 62 DraftKings points over the last three games with fairly consistent minute totals. You can take a shot with one of the other Georgia guys, but I'll ride the one that is still underpriced but shouldn't destroy my lineup.

Also consider: Terry Roberts, Georgia ($8,500); Primo Spears, Georgetown ($8,200); Devin Carter, Providence ($7,800); Zakai Zeigler, Tennessee ($7,500); Grant Sherfield, Oklahoma ($7,100); Caleb Mills, Florida State ($7,000); Will Richard, Florida ($6,000); AJ Storr, St. John's ($5,500); Bijan Cortes, Oklahoma ($3,600); Mardrez McBride, Georgia ($3,000)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Zach Edey, Purdue ($10,800)

Edey has only taken less than 15 shots once in the last five games. The kick is that he has shot better than 50% in every one of those games. Edey is scoring at an elite level and has double-digit rebounds in 17 of the 21 games this season. He abused Penn State for 56.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting, a game that Purdue won by double figures. He is likely the cash game anchor tonight but has enough upside for GPP usage as well.

Kobe Brown, Missouri ($7,900)

Brown went through a bit of a swoon at the beginning of conference play, but he has at least 30 DraftKings points in four straight games now. He was instrumental in wins over Arkansas and Iowa State in that span. He is still doing it with his efficient scoring, but getting to the line and a major uptick in steals is fueling this surge. Brown's peripheral stats suffered during his stretch of underwhelming play, often fueled by foul trouble. He's learning to be a defensive force while not fouling, so this surge is sustainable.

Jaylin Williams, Auburn ($6,500)

Williams has at least 22 DraftKings points in six straight games now, some against teams that are pretty tough in the middle. Georgia is not one of those. The Bulldogs have been trampled by most SEC teams, and what Auburn does to them will be no different. Williams has put up strong numbers across the board for the last three weeks or so and that should continue. He doesn't have a massive ceiling because of the blowout potential, but his floor is as safe as any in this price range.

Baba Miller, Florida State ($3,600)

Miller and Cameron Corhen split minutes down the middle. While Corhen has a higher ceiling, his floor is zero. Meanwhile, Miller has racked up double-digit DraftKings points in all five games that he has played. He seems to be carving out a solid bench role for the Seminoles and is an efficient scorer while putting up good rebounding totals. He has a great floor for the price, and if he ever clears 20 minutes, he could be dangerous at this price.

Also consider: Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($10,700); Joel Soriano, St. John's ($9,500); Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($8,900); Tanner Groves, Oklahoma ($6,900); Kalib Boone, Oklahoma State ($6,500); Federiko Federiko, Pittsburgh ($5,900); JaKobe Coles, TCU ($5,000); Jerome Hunter, Xavier ($4,900); Tae Davis, Seton Hall ($3,300)
