9-Category Leagues - Waiver Wire Adds

This column is written based on H2H 9-category 12-team leagues. All players in this article are rostered at around 50 percent or less.

Brandon Clarke, F - Memphis Grizzlies - 57% rostered

Clarke returned after missing six games and was immediately impactful again, posting double-digit point totals in three of the last four games. That includes a double-double last time out, with Clarke scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 boards. He also blocked a pair of shots.

The talent on this team caps Clarke's upside because he won't be playing 30 minutes per night. But he'll continue to be productive in the minutes that he's on the floor, making him someone who should be rostered in most formats.

T.J. McConnell, G - Indiana Pacers - 57% rostered

McConnell has been playing really well this season.

He had a triple-double last time out, scoring 18 points while also adding 10 rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals in 39 minutes. Now, obviously don't expect that every night from McConnell, but fantasy managers who need points, assists, and steals should take a look at the veteran point guard.

His impact from three-point range is a little disappointing for a player whose only positional eligibility is at point guard, though. Just thought it was worth offering a quick warning there. He's efficient from deep, but he just doesn't take a lot of them, with one total made three over the last three games.

Precious Achiuwa, F/C - Toronto Raptors - 25% rostered

Achiuwa saw heavy minutes last time out against the Celtics, playing 37 minutes. And he was productive in those minutes: 17 points and 11 rebounds with three assists, two steals, and two blocks on 46.7% shooting.

His increased production in that one was a product of Fred VanVleet being out, though. We'll have to see if VanVleet can make it back for Sunday's game, or if his absence will stretch longer. If he returns quickly, Achiuwa is still worth rostering but loses a little of his scoring upside.

Damion Lee, G/F - Phoenix Suns - 24% rostered

Lee's scored in double figures in five of the last six games, including one big, explosive showing last week, as he scored 31 points and drained six threes while also adding six rebounds. He's now made multiple threes in four straight games.

The Suns just have so many injury issues right now, and it's propelling Lee into a starring role. Once Chris Paul (hip) returns, Lee's role will diminish, and a Landry Shamet injury is helping Lee out as well. But he's one of the best short-term adds out there right now.

Seth Curry, G - Brooklyn Nets - 32% rostered

Curry has scored in double figures in six consecutive contests, plus has made at least one three-pointer in 10 consecutive games. He's not going to consistently offer you much more than points and threes, but he's a cheap source of both of those things if you find that your fantasy roster is in need of them, and he's also a safe add because he's consistently playing 25-plus minutes.

Isaiah Joe, G - Oklahoma City Thunder - 10% rostered

Isaiah Joe has had two incredible games in a row. Against the Kings, he had 23 points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block with seven made threes, and then two nights later against the Kings, he had 21 points and six rebounds with seven threes again.

Joe has played well when he's gotten opportunities. It's unclear how consistently he'll get those opportunities, but he's worth a short-term add.

Jericho Sims, C - New York Knicks - 13% rostered

With Mitchell Robinson (thumb) set to miss a few weeks, we should see a lot more of Jericho Sims for a bit. And if he can do what he did on Friday on a consistent basis, then he'll be worth a roster spot in fantasy. Sims played 28 minutes in that contest, scoring 12 points on 100% shooting and adding eight rebounds and a pair of steals to the ledger as well.
