Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 10: Top Free Agent Adds Include Josh Palmer, Garrett Wilson, Darnell Mooney, George Pickens

DeAndre Carter - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Justin Carter's fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 10 of the 2022 NFL season. His free agent WRs to add, stream and stash off waivers.

If you're going to make a playoff push in fantasy, it's time to make that push now. And you might need some new wide receivers to make that push, right? Then you're in luck! Below, you'll find some wide receivers that you should be targeting on the fantasy football waiver wire ahead of Week 10.

Not all of these waiver wire options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Be sure to also check out our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 10 for help at all the skill positions. All players on this list here are around 50% rostered or below.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Wide Receivers Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Joshua Palmer, Los Angeles Chargers - 72% rostered

The chargers were without Keenan Allen and Mike Williams this week, and with them out, Joshua Palmer led the team with 10 targets, catching eight passes for 106 yards. This is a tough player to talk about since his value is wrapped up in other player's availability, but he needs to be rostered in all leagues because of his ceiling should those players miss again next week, as Palmer would be a WR2 option next week if Allen and Williams are out again.

Kadarius Toney, Kansas City Chiefs - 55% rostered

Toney's Chiefs debut doesn't look great on paper, but after being traded to KC and returning from a hamstring injury, it was an encouraging start, as he caught both of his targets for 12 yards. He was on the field for the first play of the game and Patrick Mahomes looked his way, but it wasn't the start of anything big. Still, he showed some good blocking ability in this one and should see his role in KC scale up as the season goes along. I'm still adding him off the wire if he's available.

Garrett Wilson, New York Jets - 62% rostered

Corey Davis is hurt. Elijah Moore is on the outs with this team to the point where he has just one target over the last four games. Garrett Wilson has firmly established himself as New York's No. 1 receiver over the last two games, catching six for 115 in Week 8 and then eight for 92 this week. The Jets have a bye next week, but Wilson should be considered a WR3 play going forward, especially with Breece Hall done for the year, which should lead to the Jets throwing the ball more.

Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears - 61% rostered

The Bears offense continues to get better. Adding Chase Claypool helped opened the field up more, and then Justin Fields rushing for 178 yards opened the field up even more, allowing Darnell Mooney to have himself a solid day, catching seven of his eight targets for 43 yards and a touchdown. It was his first touchdown of the season. Mooney's not a league winner, but he's a solid fantasy flex option.

Odell Beckham Jr., Free Agent - 22% rostered

Beckham hasn't signed anywhere, but he's reportedly going to be cleared to return from his ACL tear this week, and there's been rumors of him signing with the Cowboys. There are some receiver-needy teams in the NFL who could make good use of Beckham. Add him now before he signs, because it'll be a mad dash to get him the moment he does.

George Pickens, Pittsburgh Steelers - 55% rostered

The Steelers didn't play this week, but Pickens is on here because after trading away Chase Claypool, Pickens is now the clear No. 2 receiver on this team. That should ensure something like Week 8's zero catch performance doesn't happen again, and that we should see numbers more like Week 7, when he had six catches for 61 yards and a score. The rookie should be rostered in most formats.

DeAndre Carter, Los Angeles Chargers - 31% rostered

And we're back to the Chargers. Like Palmer, Carter got a boost because of Allen and Williams being out, and he responded with a decent stat line, catching five of his six targets for 53 yards. A meeting with San Fran next week is pretty worrisome from a fantasy perspective, but if the Chargers are still as banged up at receiver then Carter has some appeal.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns - 21% rostered

Cleveland was on a bye this week, but in the last game before the bye, Peoples-Jones had four catches for 81 yards, his fifth game in a row with at least 50 receiving yards. His low volume and lack of touchdown upside keeps him from being a weekly starting option, but there are definitely worse players who you can plug in in case of an emergency at wide receiver.

Wide Receiver Deeper League Waiver Wire Pickups

Terrace Marshall Jr., Carolina Panthers - 6% rostered

Marshall tied D.J. Moore for the Panthers lead in targets, but while Moore only had two catches for 24 yards, Marshall had three for 53 and a score. He's now firmly established himself as the WR2 in Carolina, with 15 targets in the last two games. Without Christian McCaffrey, there's room for more volume from Marshall, but the quarterback situation in Carolina is still a major concern.

Chris Moore, Houston Texans - 0% rostered

We have no idea if Brandin Cooks will play again for the Texans as there seems to be a lot of issues between the receiver and the team right now, and Nico Collins is hurt. That left Moore to tie for the team lead in targets this week with five, catching four for 43 yards and a touchdown. He now has touchdowns in two of the last three games, but sandwiched in between was a game where he wasn't targeted. Moore is a dart throw in some formats.

Phillip Dorsett Jr., Houston Texans - 1% rostered

Dorsett tied Moore for the Texans lead in targets, bringing in three for 69 yards. It feels like Dorsett has more big-play potential than Moore based on how he's used, but Moore has a tiny bit more touchdown upside. IDK. You probably shouldn't add any Texans receivers, but if you want to add one, I'd prioritize Moore, but in a 16-team league I'd probably grab Dorsett too.

Michael Bandy, Los Angeles Chargers - 0% rostered

I talked a few times above about the Chargers. If you're in a deep league where those options aren't available and it appears we're trending toward another injury-ridden week for the team, Bandy's in play. He was targeted eight times this week, catching five passes for 26 yards.
