DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/7/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Rafael Devers - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB DFS Picks, Betting Picks

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on August 7th 2022. Mark Kieffer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

It's Sunday, August 7th, which means we will have a slate of mostly day games in MLB today! Playoff races are heating up and it's an exciting time to get in on some major league action.

This article has daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 8/7/2022, Main Slate at 1:35 pm Eastern Time. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The main slate is eight games on DraftKings and nine on FanDuel. White Sox - Rangers is FanDuel only on the main slate today.

Today's MLB Weather Outlook

There is light rain forecasted for Pirates-Orioles, Rays-Tigers, Blue Jays-Twins, and Marlins-Cubs have rain in the forecast. Marlins-Cubs has the greatest PPD risk at the moment but you should check the weather before locking in your lineups today!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Corbin Burnes- P, MIL vs. CIN ($10,300 DK, $11,300 FD)

Burnes is my favorite spend-up for GPPs today. He faces a bad offense, he has the best SIERA (2.84), and the second-highest strikeout rate on the slate at 32.3%. He probably isn't necessary in cash games though.

Kutter Crawford- P, BOS @ KC ($6,800 DK, $8,400 FD)

If I need to punt or spend down, it's going to be on Crawford here. He faces a bad Royals team in Kansas City which is a pitcher's park. He has a 3.66 SIERA and a 25% strikeout rate.

Kevin Gausman- P, TOR @ MIN ($9,200 DK, $10,500 FD)

Gausman is on the expensive side but I like him today as well. He has a 2.95 SIERA, a 28.4% strikeout rate, and is allowing just 0.48 HR/9. Rain is a potential issue here and although the Twins lineup is good, they can be tamed against good pitching.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Rafael Devers- 3B, BOS vs. Brad Keller ($5,900 DK, $4,200 FD)

I normally do not spend up this high on third base but today is different. Keller is awful and Devers has a .274 ISO and .372 OBP on the season.

Taylor Walls- SS, TB vs. Matt Manning ($2,400 DK, $2,300 FD)

Punts need to be made to get Devers in our cash lineup. Walls is not a good offensive player but Manning has a 5.32 SIERA and a 1.9% K-BB%.

Yolmer Sanchez- 2B, BOS vs. Brad Keller ($2,000 DK, $2,300 FD)

Same logic as Taylor Walls. Cheap, and unlikely to do much but going against a bad pitcher, if he gets on base and scores or gets on base a couple of times, he hits value easily.

Ryan Mountcastle- 1B, BAL vs. Bryse Wilson ($3,100 DK, $3,100 FD)

Bryse Wilson has a 4.58 SIERA and is allowing 1.62 HR/9 this season. Mountcastle is really struggling, he has not hit a home run in a month, but at this price, I am willing to take a chance on him in hopes of busting out of this dry spell against a bad pitcher and bad bullpen.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

David Peralta- OF, TB vs. Matt Manning ($3,100 DK, $2,700 FD)

As stated earlier, Manning is a pitcher to attack on this slate if the weather holds up. Peralta has a .201 ISO this season.

Alex Verdugo- OF, BOS vs. Brad Keller ($2,800 DK, $2,800 FD)

Attacking Keller is also something I want to do on this slate as I said before. Likely to bat fifth, Verdugo is a great bargain at under $3K on both sites. His average has been coming up and generally is one of the better players in the league at getting on base, despite the down first half he had. He is turning things around and this is the time to play him while he is cheap.

Teoscar Hernandez - OF, TOR vs. Chris Archer ($4,600 DK, $3,700 FD)

Chris Archer is another pitcher to target today with a 4.99 SIERA and just a 7% K-BB%. Teoscar is likely to bad cleanup and is having a nice season with a .326 OBP, .225 ISO, 16 home runs, and six steals this season.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here are a few stacks I am really liking today:

  • Tampa Bay- It's been stated several times but Matt Manning is no good. This team doesn't have a ton of power so a stack makes sense
  • Toronto Blue Jays-  Chris Archer is also very bad. The 12.7% walk rate alone should encourage some stacking as your batters are going to get extra at-bats.
  • Pittsburgh Pirates- This will be sneaky but Spenser Watkins has a 4.95 SIERA, and a 7.2% K-BB%. The only issue is the Orioles' bullpen is decent.
  • Boston Red Sox - Whenever Brad Keller is on the slate, he is someone to attack.
  • Baltimore Orioles- Bad starter and bad bullpen behind him. Bryse Wilson allows 1.62 HR/9, he strikes out just 15.1% of batters. High contact and a lot of possible damage.
