Welcome back to another edition of the FREE DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks. As customary, we have an all-day ledger on tap Wednesday, and although DraftKings does not have a full-day slate, FanDuel does. Consequently, today's article will feature picks on both sites for games throughout the day, as even on DK, the suggestions will prove viable for someone playing one of the site's split slates.
There are plenty of strong pitching options on the hill Wednesday, enough for me to highlight four overall. It's also a bit trickier to find hitters in favorable matchups, but I believe I've come up with a good combination of candidates across the salary cap, some of which could certainly be lower-rostered.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 6/22/2022 that includes a FanDuel main slate locking at 2:10 pm ET. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Zack Wheeler - P, PHI at TEX ($10,500 DK, $10,700 FD)
Wheeler has been impressive throughout the season and downright elite over the last two starts, allowing just one earned run across 13 innings to the Diamondbacks and Nationals. He hasn't just been getting it done against inferior offenses either, as he's also posted quality starts against the Padres, Mets, Braves, and Angels while also pitching well in a sub-six-inning turn against the Dodgers. Wheeler also blanked the Rangers already this season over 7.2 innings at Citizens Bank Park, and Texas has been relatively benign against right-handed pitching at home with a 24.4 percent strikeout rate, .237 average, .293 wOBA, and -3.5 wRAA in that split over the last month.
Pablo Lopez - P, MIA vs. COL ($8,300 DK, $8,900 FD)
Lopez has been overshadowed somewhat by rotation mate Sandy Alcantara, but he's impressed in his own right with a 4-3 mark, 2.85 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 9.2 K/9. The right-hander also accomplished the difficult feat of shutting out the Rockies over six innings at Coors Field back on May 30, and he's produced an 0.97 WHIP and 0.8 HR/9 in his home stadium. The Rockies have been a completely different team on the road, averaging an NL-low 3.0 runs per game in that split while also posting a .275 wOBA and -10.9 wRAA against righties when traveling in the last month. Finally, consider Lopez's success against current Rockies bats hasn't only been limited to his previous start against them this season, as he's held them to a collective .175/.264/.364 slash line in 58 career encounters.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Freddie Freeman - 1B, LAD at Luis Castillo ($5,400 DK, $3,700 FD)
Freeman has seen a mysterious power drain thus far this season, but he still walks into Wednesday's matchup with a .298/.382/.473 line after a 3-for-4, five-RBI night Tuesday that included a double and a triple. The perennial All-Star has been tough against right-handed pitching as usual, as he headed into Tuesday night's game with a .299 average, .842 OPS, and .363 wOBA in that split. Meanwhile, Castillo has held lefty bats to a .226 average at home, but they've also gotten to him for a .368 OBP and .352 wOBA. Additionally, Freeman happens to be a very good hitter against Castillo's most often-thrown pitches, the changeup and sinker, posting .329 and .378 wOBAs against those offerings thus far this season.
Jake Cronenworth - 2B, SDP vs. Madison Bumgarner ($5,800 DK, $3,600 FD)
Cronenworth is one of those left-handed hitters that thrives in same-handed matchups, as he's sporting a .305 average, .859 OPS , .379 wOBA, and 148 wRC+ in that split this season. Cronenworth also has tagged Bumgarner for a .375 average with only one strikeout over 10 career plate appearances, and the veteran southpaw has conceded a .279 average and .361 wOBA to lefty bats, including .333 and .426 figures in those categories when facing them on the road. Bumgarner has also arguably been a bit fortunate to not have sustained more damage, as there's a sizable gulf between his 3.46 ERA and 4.68 xERA. Additionally, the robust .508 xSLG he's yielded is partly explained by the career-high 46.3 percent hard-hit rate he's allowing.
Tommy Edman - SS, at Eric Lauer ($5,200 DK, $3,900 FD)
The switch-hitting Edman has been a tough out against left-handed pitching all season long, posting a .311 average, .796 OPS, and .349 wOBA in that split. He also brings the benefit of usually working out of the leadoff spot, and he entered Tuesday's action swinging a hot bat in June with a .295 average, .804 OPS, and .356 wOBA. Lauer has been tough against right-handed hitters, but he comes into Wednesday's start having pitched to a .275 BAA, 6.75 ERA, and .384 wOBA over 17.1 June innings.
Brandon Drury - 3B, CIN vs. Tyler Anderson ($5,500 DK, $3,500 FD)
Anderson is having a career-best season, bringing an 8-0 record, 2.82 ERA, and 0.94 WHIP into Wednesday's start. However, he has a tricky matchup in Drury, who's pounding left-handed pitching at home for a .353 average, 1.088 OPS, and .464 wOBA. Anderson, who came into this season with a 29-38 record, 4.62 ERA, and 1.31 WHIP across 117 career games, is due for regression at some point, and on that note, it's worth noting he has a sizable gap between 2.61 FIP and 4.12 xFIP over 17.1 June innings. Meanwhile, Drury happens to be an excellent hitter against Anderson's two most-often-thrown pitches -- the changeup and four-seamer -- as he owns .532 and .358 wOBAs, respectively, against those offerings.
Other options: J.T. Realmuto - C/1B, PHI at Jon Gray ($4,900 DK, $2,900 FD)
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Mike Trout - OF, LAA vs. Daniel Lynch ($5,900 DK, $4,400 FD)
Trout is a good play in any matchup, but he's particularly appealing against left-handers. The slugger has produced an absurd .417 average, 1.173 OPS, .482 wOBA, and 224 wRC+ against southpaws at home, a split in which he's also generated a 29.4 percent line-drive rate and 41.2 percent hard-contact rate. Lynch has been extremely hittable all season, and he's yielded a .278 average, .349 wOBA, and 1.61 WHIP to right-handed hitters on the road. Additionally, Lynch is giving up a bloated 46.7 percent hard-hit rate, and the fact he utilizes the four-seam fastball and slider most often against righty bats is especially noteworthy when considering Trout's .406 average and .523 wOBA against the former when seeing it from a lefty, as well as his .416 wOBA against the latter overall.
Trey Mancini - OF, BAL vs. Patrick Corbin ($3,300 DK, $2,900 FD)
Mancini is enjoying a solid season that includes a .283 average and .766 OPS, and he's posted a .345 OBP and .326 wOBA against left-handed pitching. The 30-year-old has an impressive .305 xBA, .555 xSLG, and .397 xwOBA as well, while Corbin comes in allowing a .339 average and .368 wOBA to right-handed hitters on the road. Mancini also happens to have a .375 average against Corbin in a modest sample of nine career plate appearances, and his career-low 19.1 percent strikeout rate, .305 xBA and .394 xwOBA all speak to the fact he's actually been an even better hitter than his surface numbers imply.
Luis Gonzalez - OF, SFG at Charlie Morton ($2,900 DK, $3,300 FD)
Gonzalez is enjoying an excellent season that sees him come into Wednesday's action with a .302/.361/.447 slash line, and there's a good chance he'll work out of the leadoff spot, as he already has on 10 occasions versus right-handed pitchers this season. Meanwhile, Morton has had plenty of trouble against left-handed hitters, allowing a .275 average, .374 wOBA, and 2.0 HR/9 when facing that handedness at home. What's more, hitters are squaring up on Morton like never before, as he's conceding career highs in barrel rate (8.1 percent), sweet-spot rate (41.1 percent), xwOBA (.345) and hard-hit rate (40.5 percent).
Other options: Taylor Ward - OF, LAA vs. Daniel Lynch ($4,300 DK, $2,900 FD); Rafael Ortega - OF, CHC at Jerad Eickhoff ($2,200 DK, $2,200 FD)
