DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/1/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on May 1st, 2022. Mark Kieffer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 5/1/2022 Main Slate at 1:00 pm Eastern Time.

The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. The main slate is nine-games on DraftKings and 10-games on FanDuel.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, find me on Twitter @Mark_Kieffer and ask away!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Corbin Burnes - P, MIL vs. CHC ($10,200 on DK, $10, 700 FD)

Burnes has a 34.7% strikeout rate this season and has the highest upside on the slate. Milwaukee is also favored to win and Burnes should get a win here if he gets the run support.

Logan Gilbert - P, SEA @ MIA ($9,400 DK, $9,300 FD)

Logan Gilbert has a 25.9% strikeout rate. The Marlins are No. 4 in strikeout rate in the MLB. This is a better DraftKings play than FanDuel play as Miami is favored to win the game and the win is important.

Nick Pivetta - P, BOS @ BAL ($6,700 DK, $6,500 FD)

This is my favorite GPP play for an SP2 on DraftKings. There is some weather risk later in the game. Baltimore has the No. 1 strikeout rate in the MLB. Pivetta has a career 24.9% strikeout rate, his is 20.5% this year. This has a risk of blowing up as his walk rate this year has been 16.7% -- much higher than his 9.2% career rate.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Matt Chapman - 3B, TOR vs. Framber Valdez ($3,700 DK, $3,400 FD)

Matt Champman is batting fifth today and has an ISO of .250 against LHP the last two seasons.

Carlos Correa - SS, MIN vs. Josh Fleming ($4,200 DK, $3,000 FD)

Shortstop is a hard one to find value. Either you will pay more than this to get players of similar ability who are playing better or you are going to punt and take guys batting 8th or 9th in the order. Either approach is fine. This is probably the last position I fill in on this slate. Correa has a .360 wOBA the last two seasons against LHP.

Jon Berti - 2B, MIA vs. Logan Gilbert ($2,100 DK, $2,300 FD)

I fully recommend a punt here even against Logan Gilbert. If Berti gets on base and scores a run he makes value. If he gets on base and steals a base, he exceeds the value. It doesn't take much to do make value for his salary. I probably wouldn't put him in the same lineup as Gilbert but even if I did, there's a universe in which both make value.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - 1B, TOR vs. Framber Valdez ($5,400 DK, $4,200 FD)

If we punt at 2B we might have the salary to afford Vlad Guerrero on this slate. If you can't afford it, other guys I like at 1B today are Matt Duffy, Rowdy Tellez, or Franchy Cordero with some medium-priced and punt options.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kyle Garlick - OF, MIN vs. Josh Fleming ($2,100 DK, $2,400 FD)

A small sample size but in 76 plate appearances against LHP, he has an ISO of .300 and a .360 wOBA.

Josh Lowe - OF, TAM vs. Josh Winder ($2,800 DK, $2,500 FD)

Lowe is batting fourth, Tampa Bay has one of the higher implied totals, and while Lowe is off to a slow start this year, he did have a .244 ISO in AAA last year, so the power is there.

Aaron Judge or Giancarlo Stanton- OF,NYY vs. Daniel Lynch ($5,700 DK, $4,300 FD - Judge and $4,900 DK, $3,400 FD - Stanton)

These guys destroy lefties, are facing a bad one, and the wind is blowing out in Kansas City. They are expensive but we have so many punt options with it being a Sunday, you should be able to get one of these guys in your lineup.
