Week 14 Fantasy Football Quarterback Outlooks

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is playing at an MVP level this season and has been one of the top quarterbacks in fantasy football. During the Cowboys' current three-game win streak, Prescott leads the league with eight passing touchdowns and is second with 942 passing yards. He ranks as the QB1 with 24.7 fantasy points per game during that time as well, and Josh Allen is the only other QB above 22 points per game. The 32-year-old signal-caller has arguably the best wide receiver duo in football in George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb, which has helped fuel his big season.

Prescott profiles as a top-three option in Week 14 against the Detroit Lions in a game with the highest projected point total of the week. The Lions have played man coverage at a league-high 42.8% clip this season, which Prescott has feasted against with the third-most passing yards (916) in the league, per Fantasy Points Data. He ranks as RotoBaller's QB2 for Week 14.

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

Across 12 games this season, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has completed 69.8% of his pass attempts for 3,025 yards, 25 touchdowns, and five interceptions. However, his supporting cast in Detroit is as depleted as it's been all season heading into his Week 14 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The Lions will be without tight ends Brock Wright (neck) and Sam LaPorta (back), as well as wide receiver Kalif Raymond (ankle). Most importantly, star wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) did not practice all week and is questionable to play against Dallas due to the low ankle sprain he suffered in Week 13.

On paper, the Cowboys look like a favorable matchup for Goff. Through 13 weeks, Dallas has allowed the most passing yards (3,234) and touchdowns (28) of any NFL team. The Cowboys have been better in the second half of the season, but they still allowed four touchdown passes in Week 13 to the Kansas City Chiefs. While his outlook would obviously be improved if St. Brown is active, Goff profiles as a solid fantasy QB1 in Week 14.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice as the Ravens prepare for their divisional showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This marks the first time Jackson has participated in a Wednesday practice in quite some time, but it's still displeasing to see the star quarterback's name on the injury report. Jackson suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the season that sidelined him for four weeks, and has been listed for knee and ankle injuries in the past few weeks.

Jackson's rushing stats have dipped drastically in 2025, averaging career lows in rushing attempts, yards, and touchdowns this season. Without his rushing floor, Jackson will continue to be an inconsistent option for fantasy managers. Jackson will likely be upgraded to a full practice either Thursday or Friday and should be ready to play in an important game in Week 14.

Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith (foot) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a foot injury, according to Ryan McFadden of ESPN. It's a new injury for Smith and is something that we'll be keeping a close eye on as the team prepares for a Week 14 divisional game on Sunday against the visiting Denver Broncos. The 35-year-old veteran has had a rough first season in Vegas and will be a QB3 in fantasy football if he plays this weekend against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

The Broncos have the most sacks in the NFL through 13 weeks, and the Raiders' offensive line has not done a good job of protecting Smith at all this year. It's a bad combination, especially if Smith's mobility is limited by his foot. In the loss to Denver on Nov. 6, Smith went 16-for-26 passing for 143 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception.

J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy (concussion) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, putting him on track to return on Sunday against the Washington Commanders in Week 14, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. McCarthy still needs final clearance from an independent neurologist to be cleared from the league's concussion protocol, but he's trending in the right direction after suffering a concussion in Week 12 and missing the Week 13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

In his absence on Sunday, undrafted rookie QB Max Brosmer was a disaster, throwing four interceptions, including an ugly pick-six. The 22-year-old McCarthy has mostly struggled in 2025 after missing his entire rookie season, completing just 54.1% of his passes for 929 yards, six touchdowns, and 10 picks in six starts. If he returns on Sunday, McCarthy will be a volatile low-end QB2 option in superflex formats.

Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (wrist) was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice, according to Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun. Rodgers, who is playing through three fractures in his left (non-throwing) wrist, will probably be limited early in the week for the rest of the season. The 42-year-old future Hall of Famer is expected to be active again this weekend for a crucial divisional contest against the Baltimore Ravens, but he might not do much in practice this week.

The good news for Rodgers is that he didn't do any damage to his left wrist by playing in the Week 13 loss to the Buffalo Bills, and he appears to be in better shape going into Week 14 despite being battered and bloodied last Sunday. Rodgers hasn't thrown for over 200 yards in a game since Nov. 2 and has limited weapons in the passing game outside of receiver DK Metcalf. He will be a low-upside fantasy QB on the QB2/3 borderline versus Baltimore.
