BALLER MOVE: Leave on the wire for now
ROSTERED IN: 12% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto was fast-tracked to the big leagues after being taken with the 13th-overall pick of the 2022 MLB Draft and his bat has predictably struggled. After just 48 minor-league games, the 23-year-old was promoted to the big club last season and hit .225 with nine homers and five stolen bases across 329 trips to the plate.
However, it's been a disaster at the plate to begin the 2024 campaign. Neto has hit just .174 without a homer alongside a .467 OPS across 76 plate appearances. He has provided speed with four swipes on the young season but has done little else to help fantasy managers.
Boom. First career MLB home run for Zach Neto.

Neto's excellent defense is what is keeping him in the big leagues at this point. His bat is lacking, but with Anthony Rendon hitting the injued list his run with the Angels is likely to continue. At the same time, his bat has just not been at the level fantasy managers who took a chance on him on draft day expected from the young fielder. He just isn't providing much value and should be left on the wire at this time.
