World Cup DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings: Matchday 5

Martin Konstantinov's WC DFS lineup picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for Matchday 5. The top daily fantasy soccer players and sleepers for the World Cup.

With three games in Group F and G, Monday's showdowns are South Korea vs Sweden, Panama vs Belgium, and England vs Tunisia. Due to the multiple games being played, lineups are back to their normal constructions. Below we bring you seven players you should consider as World Cup DFS lineup picks for Matchday 5 (on June 18th, 2018).

Not all are top-tier options, as there is a range of DFS value picks, sleepers and high-risk players mixed in.

Consider all of these players for your DFS lineups; however, at the end of the day, it is always your decision. Good luck, RotoBallers.

WC DFS Forwards to Consider

Harry Kane - F, England (DK - $10,700, FD - $12,000)

The most expensive player on FanDuel and the second most expensive on DraftKings, Harry Kane comes in as the starting forward and talisman of the English national team. Kane will look to score a few against a Tunisia side that does not have a win in its last three World Cup appearances, making the odds that the young forward produces very high. Kane is a must-own in GPP formats and a solid option all around, despite the high price .

Son Heung-Min - F, South Korea (DK - $7,500, FD - $9,000)

A cheaper alternative to Kane is his Tottenham teammate, Korean forward Son Heung-Min. The pacey winger is South Korea's talisman, and at his price is a wonderful starting option against an underwhelming Sweden side with holes in their back line. Consider Son as a top level Tournament play and a decent GPP option as well in what is a top-heavy striker pool in tomorrow's slate.

WC DFS Midfielders to Consider

Dele Alli - M, England (DK - $7,400, FD - $8,500)

Expected to be the starting attacking midfielder for England tomorrow, Dele Alli is an absolute steal on DraftKings. Even on FanDuel, Alli is a top level option who has a good chance to score or assist in a game that his team is predicted to dominate. Alli is an excellent value option in midfield and should be a very good play in tomorrow's slate on both sites regardless of the format.

Sebastian Larsson - M, Sweden (DK - $3,700, FD - $7,500)

A longtime member of the Swedish national team and set piece specialist, Larsson has been a good fantasy play in DFS contests for his club sides for years. Expected to start as a central midfielder, Larsson is extremely undervalued on DraftKings and should be considered a top value player at his position who can provide from set pieces and has the ability and upside to win you the week against a suspect Korea defense.

WC DFS Defenders to Consider

Mikael Lustig - D, Sweden (DK - $5,000, FD - $5,000)

If Sweden do dominate the game, Mikael Lustig should be a major beneficiary on the fantasy scene tomorrow. Lustig is a solid fullback for Sweden who should whip in a few crosses throughout the game, making him a very good option in a rather deep defensive pool tomorrow. Lustig is a top contributor for Sweden and might have the ownership levels to justify playing in Tournament contests tomorrow as well as GPP lineups.

Toby Alderweireld - D, Belgium (DK - $3,800, FD - $5,500)

Although Belgium have a very easy opponent against Panama, the values of their players make it hard to create balanced rosters within the salary cap. However, one player who you can safely include in your defense is Alderweireld, the Belgian center back who is known for scoring a header from time to time. Assume Belgium keep a clean sheet and are the most threatening side for the majority of the game, making Alderweireld a good option in GPP contests, especially on DraftKings.

WC DFS Goalies to Consider

Mouez Hassen - G, Tunisia (DK - $3,700, FD - 4,000)

A very contrarian play, selecting the Tunisian goalkeeper against a favored England side has its risks. However, Hassen is still a solid goalkeeper and England are known for choking in big competitions. Therefore, selecting the Tunisian shotstopper may not be the worst idea, especially with the upsets that we have seen throughout the tournament so far. Regardless of how the result goes, Hassen should be peppered with shots, meaning that he will likely have to save more than a few to keep his team in the game.

Good luck this weekend!
