Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen caught four of his five targets for 44 yards in the team's 37-10 win on Thursday night over the Minnesota Vikings. Allen was coming off a vintage performance in Week 7 against the Colts, catching 11 of 14 targets for 119 yards and a touchdown. But the 33-year-old took a backseat to the young Chargers' playmakers in Week 8, with second-year wide receiver Ladd McConkey leading the way with 88 yards and a touchdown, while rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden continued his emergence with 77 yards and a score.
The Chargers played from ahead for the vast majority of this game, leading to the running backs carrying the ball 36 times as they aimed to milk the clock for the most part. The 33-year-old wideout should bounce back in Week 9 as the Chargers face the Titans on the road.
Verdict: Sell-high after a big week as Allen is beginning to lose targets to McConeky and Gadsden
Tyjae Spears, RB, Titans

Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Nick Holz said Sunday "was a reminder of what running back Tyjae Spears can do with the ball in his hands," according to Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com. Holz is "hoping it's a sign of more things to come," and Spears is expected to remain involved alongside Tony Pollard in the backfield. Spears played over 50% of the offensive snaps in the Week 8 loss to the Indianapolis Colts and outproduced Pollard on two fewer carries while also scoring his first touchdown of the year.
The 24-year-old missed time earlier this year due to injury, but now that he's back to full health, he's become a bigger part of the offense. It sounds like the Titans envision more of a split backfield between Spears and Pollard. It's good news for Spears' fantasy managers, but the timeshare situation still probably caps his fantasy value as an RB3/flex in PPR leagues.
Verdict: Sneaky buy-low candidate as he appears to be taking over the Tennessee backfield
Jaylen Warren, RB, Steelers
Trade Value: 61.8

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren turned 13 carries into 62 yards and caught two of three targets for 11 yards in a Week 8 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Warren ran efficiently in the first half but became an afterthought late as Pittsburgh fell behind early in the fourth quarter. His utilization will be worth monitoring in Week 9 against the 7-1 Indianapolis Colts, who shouldn't struggle to score on the Steelers' faltering defense.
The Colts have been strong against the run this season, so Warren's best path to production likely comes as a receiving weapon for Aaron Rodgers. Fantasy managers can continue to roll with the 27-year-old as a solid RB2 heading into Sunday's matchup.
Verdict: Prime buy-low candidate as he should remain the clear RB1 in the offense
Trey Benson, RB, Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson (knee) will miss at least one more game before his potential return, but he could be worth grabbing from the waiver wire this week if you have the roster flexibility to do so. Before his meniscus injury that required surgery, he had stepped in as the early-down workhorse after the season-ending foot injury to James Conner.
The Cardinals released Michael Carter, which indicates something is in motion at the position, which could mean a trade or that Benson will be back to take over the job very soon. Bam Knight will likely continue to carry the load this week, with Emari Demercado potentially mixing in as well. The Cardinals have a great running back schedule the rest of the way, so whoever gets the playing time should have good value, and Benson would seem to have the inside track for that spot once he returns.
Verdict: Must-buy ahead of his return from the IR
