Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Jakobi Meyers, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (knee, toe) is officially listed as questionable to play this Sunday against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7. Meyers was unable to practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, but he was upgraded to a limited participant on Friday, giving him a chance to suit up this weekend.
With tight end Brock Bowers (knee) expected to miss a third straight game, the Raiders' struggling offense will need all the help they can get against a Chiefs team that is finally looking like a juggernaut again. If Meyers doesn't get the green light to play on Sunday, Tre Tucker and rookies Dont'e Thornton and Jack Bech would likely work in starting three-wide sets.
Tight end Michael Mayer should also be heavily involved in the passing attack in what should be a positive game script on Sunday. Meyers has been a major disappointment so far in 2025, especially the last two weeks with Bowers out.
D'Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) enters Week 7 listed as questionable, but he has expressed confidence that he'll suit up against the Saints.
Swift is coming off a massive Week 6 performance, racking up 175 total yards and a touchdown on just 16 touches against a solid Commanders run defense. He handled 60% of the snaps, while rookie Kyle Monangai logged 31%, confirming Swift's hold on the lead role in Chicago's backfield. Facing a Saints defense that ranks 12th against running backs, Swift's volume will be crucial in this one.
With the Bears favored for the second time this season and a run-heavy game script likely, Swift projects as a strong high-end RB2, assuming he's good to go against the Saints.
Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets
New York Jets running back Breece Hall is a candidate to see an increased workload in this Sunday's home game against the Carolina Panthers. The Iowa State product fell victim to a staunch Broncos defensive unit last weekend and will get another stiff test in Week 7 in Carolina.
Hall surprisingly wasn't targeted in New York's loss to Denver, but that should change this week as the team is expected to be without wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee). The Panthers' rush defense is one of the better ones in the league currently (ninth-fewest yards per game), although they haven't done well in limiting their opposition's scoring. Volume shouldn't be an issue for Hall, but an inefficient Jets' offense has held him back - and out of the end zone - through six weeks.
This contest is as good as any for him to end that drought finally, though he'll take a slight step back this week with the Jets' offense not at 100%. He's RotoBaller's PPR RB14 ahead of his matchup with Carolina.
Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze is coming off a quiet Week 6, recording just two catches for 32 yards. However, his day could have been much bigger, as Odunze had an 11-yard touchdown negated by a penalty and narrowly missed on a few deep connections with Caleb Williams.
Despite the down week, the second-year receiver is still in the midst of a breakout season, totaling 328 yards and five touchdowns in five games, ranking as the WR7 on a per-game basis. Odunze draws a favorable matchup in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints, who have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.
With the Saints' defense surrendering big performances to WR1s like Marvin Harrison Jr., Jauan Jennings, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba so far this season, Odunze is in a prime bounce-back spot. He should be viewed as a high-end WR2 this week, with significant big-play upside against a struggling Saints secondary.
Michael Carter, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals running back Michael Carter is set to receive more opportunities after a third member of the backfield went down with an injury in Emari Demercado (ankle).
During the Week 6 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts, Carter saw 44% of the snap share after getting 58% against the Tennessee Titans in Week 5. Against the Green Bay Packers in Week 7, Carter and Bam Knight will split the backfield work, but Carter is likely to see some more opportunities in the passing game. He received five targets in each of the last two games and turned them into seven receptions for 52 yards.
The Packers are ranked fifth against opposing running backs, however, and have given up just two touchdowns on the ground this season. Carter does hold some low-end flex value in deeper leagues, but he'll be hard to trust since the Cardinals will likely go with the hot hand.
