FAAB Waiver Wire Bidding - Fantasy Baseball Pickups to Target for Week 10 (June 1 - June 7)

Jacob Young - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft, Sleepers, Waiver Wire, Pickups

Joey's FAAB fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups and bidding guide for Week 10 (June 1 - June 7). His recommended FAAB dollars to spend on waiver wire adds.

Welcome, RotoBallers, to our Week 10 fantasy baseball FAAB waiver wire pickups for June 1 - June 7. For those new to this weekly series, we dive into the best fantasy baseball waiver wire targets every week for leagues that use FAAB (free agent acquisition budget) and our recommended dollar bid amounts for waivers.

This week, we'll look at 11 waiver wire targets. We will analyze five hitters, five pitchers, and one prospect fantasy managers should be looking to stash. As a reminder, we only look at players rostered in under 40% of Yahoo! leagues as potential waiver wire pickups. Any player above that 40% roster threshold won't be considered for this list.

So, let's examine the best waiver wire pickups for Week 10 of the fantasy baseball season.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Hitters to Target

JJ Bleday, OF, Cincinnati Reds

39% rostered
FAAB Bid: ~12-15%

It is a bit surprising that Cincinnati Reds outfielder JJ Bleday is still rostered in under 40% of Yahoo! leagues. He has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball since being promoted from Triple-A on April 26. Bleday is slashing .287/.392/.604 with eight home runs, six doubles, and 22 RBI across 28 games and is batting .311 with nine extra-base hits and 14 RBI since May 10.

Bleday simply needs to be rostered in all leagues at this point in the year. His .282 expected batting average, .534 expected slugging, 13% barrel rate, 43.6% launch angle sweet-spot rate, and 47.4% hard-hit are all encouraging signs that the Reds outfielder will continue to be a solid fantasy option moving forward. He's a top add this week.

Gabriel Moreno, C, Arizona Diamondbacks

35% rostered
FAAB Bid: ~5-8%

Arizona Diamondbacks backstopper Gabriel Moreno has emerged as a consistent fantasy option at the catcher position. Moreno is batting .261 with three home runs, eight doubles, three stolen bases, and 19 RBI on the season and has recently been red-hot at the plate. He is hitting .372 with four extra-base hits and three stolen bases in his last 11 games, which included a 3-for-5 performance against the Mariners on Friday.

After missing almost a month due to an oblique injury earlier in the year, Moreno is fully healthy once again. His xwOBA (.352), expected batting average (.260), expected slugging (.461), barrel rate (11.8%), and launch angle sweet-spot rate (41.2%) all rank in the upper half of the league. That's enough to spend on the Diamondbacks catcher this weekend.

Colt Emerson, 2B/SS, Seattle Mariners

24% rostered
FAAB Bid: ~2-5%

Seattle Mariners infielder Colt Emerson has yet to pop off in his Major League career. He's batting just .235 with one home run, three doubles, and six RBI in his first 34 career at-bats and is coming off a three-strikeout game against the Diamondbacks on Friday. However, Emerson has shown some of his fantasy potential in the early going.

He had a four-hit game with three doubles last week against the Royals and tallied another multi-hit game on Wednesday against the Athletics. Emerson will eventually get comfortable enough at the plate to the point where he is posting strong all-around fantasy numbers. MLB Pipeline's No. 6 overall prospect batted .285 with 16 home runs, 78 RBI, and 14 stolen bases in his last full Minor League season in 2025.

Spencer Horwitz, 1B, Pittsburgh Pirates

15% rostered
FAAB Bid: ~5%

Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Spencer Horwitz deserves some more love in the fantasy community. He is batting .329 with three home runs, five doubles, one triple, 15 RBI, and one stolen base in the month of May. He has raised his batting average 38 points over his last 24 games and has a strong .848 OPS on the year.

Although his metrics suggest some negative regression is headed his way, fantasy managers should still be looking to pick up Horwitz ahead of Week 10. He's squaring up the ball at an elite clip (30.3%), and his 18% Pull AIR rate is currently a career-best. The Pirates' first baseman should continue to boost batting averages in roto leagues while providing some sneaky home run value as well.

Joshua Baez, OF, St. Louis Cardinals

9% rostered
FAAB Bid: <2%

It might be time to start thinking about stashing outfielder Joshua Baez in some leagues. The St. Louis Cardinals' No. 3 prospect has been one of the hottest hitters at Triple-A in May. He is slashing .289/.355/.680 with 10 home runs, four doubles, and 24 RBI this month and has hit five home runs in his last four games.

Baez has the tools to make an immediate impact in the big leagues when he gets the call. MLB Pipeline's No. 68 overall prospect has a .513 expected slugging percentage, a 20% barrel rate, and a 30% Pull AIR rate in the minors this season. That all makes him a potential stash candidate in fantasy this weekend. His time could be coming soon.

Jacob Young OF, Washington Nationals

4% rostered
FAAB Bid: ~2%

Washington Nationals outfielder Jacob Young is enjoying a power surge in the early portion of the 2026 season. After hitting just five combined home runs in 1,006 plate appearances from 2023 to 2025, Young has already hit seven long balls in 194 plate appearances this year. His barrel rate is way up (6.1%), and he's pulling the ball in the air at a personal best (16.1%).

Those power numbers, combined with his stolen base upside, make him a waiver wire pickup in 15+ team leagues. It is a bit surprising that Young only has three steals in his first 56 games this season. However, fantasy managers should expect the stolen base numbers to pick up moving forward. His 29.3 ft/sec sprint speed ranks in the 96th percentile, and the Nationals outfielder is only two years removed from stealing 33 bases in 2024.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pitchers to Target

Zebby Matthews, SP, Minnesota Twins

39% rostered
FAAB Bid: ~5%

Minnesota Twins pitcher Zebby Matthews remains a top pickup for this week. He has thrown a quality start in each of his first three starts and just threw six innings of three-run ball with six strikeouts against the White Sox on Monday. His early-season metrics also back up his strong numbers to start the year.

Matthews has a 2.54 expected ERA, a .202 expected batting average against, a 35.8% hard-hit rate, and has only walked two batters in 19 innings of work. With the Twins right-hander lined up to face the Pirates (Sunday), Royals, Tigers, and Rangers in his next four starts, he's a solid waiver wire add this week.

Walbert Urena, SP, Los Angeles Angels

18% rostered
FAAB Bid: ~5%

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Walbert Urena should be on fantasy radars after another strong performance on Friday. Urena threw six innings of one-run ball with five strikeouts against the Rays to lower his ERA to 2.44 on the season. The young right-hander has now allowed just six runs across his last 33 innings pitched (1.64 ERA) and has given up more than two runs in a start just once this year.

Urena has really been throwing the ball well recently. He's getting a ton of swings and misses on his offspeed stuff, and his 97.7 mph fastball has shown plenty of life. That has helped the Angels right-hander rank in the upper half of the league in expected batting average against (.206), average exit velocity (86.8 mph), chase rate (32.5%), and whiff rate (28.1%).

Kyle Finnegan, RP, Detroit Tigers

12% rostered
FAAB Bid: 10% if you need saves

Kyle Finnegan was the first Detroit Tigers pitcher to get a save chance after Kenley Jansen went on the 15-day injured list. Although Finnegan blew the save in Friday's loss to the White Sox, it appears the veteran will have the first crack at the save opportunities while Jansen is on the IL. That's enough reason to add the right-hander in roto leagues.

Finnegan is the most equipped Tigers reliever to earn saves with Jansen out. He has a solid 2.03 ERA across 26 2/3 innings pitched this season and has the most experience in this closer role. The 34-year-old saved 28 games for the Nationals in 2023, totaled a career-high 38 saves in 2024, and earned another 24 saves last year.

Gage Jump, SP, Athletics

11% rostered
FAAB Bid: ~2-4%

The Athletics called up their No. 3 prospect to start on Wednesday against the Mariners. While Gage Jump struggled a bit in his MLB debut by giving up four runs across five innings, the potential is there for the left-hander to blossom into a solid fantasy starter. He had an impressive 33.3% strikeout rate and a solid 75.8% zone-contact rate in his nine starts at Triple-A this season.

Now, fantasy managers shouldn't be overspending for Jump. He was inconsistent at times in the minors, and Seattle's hitters were all over him in his Major League debut. But he's still worth a look in some 12-team leagues at this point. Spending around 2-4% of your remaining FAAB could be enough to land the top-100 prospect.

David Sandlin, SP, Chicago White Sox

7% rostered
FAAB Bid: ~2-4%

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher David Sandlin was dominant in his Major League debut earlier this week. He threw six innings of one-run ball with four strikeouts against the Twins on Wednesday and needed just 61 pitches to complete the quality start. That start should be the peak interest of some fantasy managers in deeper formats.

Sandlin has been untouchable on the mound for most of the year. He allowed just one hit in his MLB debut and posted a 0.55 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings in the minors before his promotion. The White Sox rookie is worth grabbing heading into Week 10 of the fantasy season.
