Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 10:
Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze is looking to rebound after being held without a catch in Week 9, seeing just three targets and recording two drops in the 47-42 win over Cincinnati.
The second-year wideout has now struggled in three of his last four games. He draws a favorable matchup against a Giants defense that allows the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers.
However, forecasted 25+ mph winds in Chicago could limit the Bears' downfield passing, which is critical to Odunze's production. He carries clear Boom-or-Bust value in Week 10, dependent on how much Chicago chooses to push the ball vertically.
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins suffered a shoulder injury in a Week 8 loss to the New England Patriots, but he comes out of his Week 9 bye without an injury designation. He should be in line to handle his normal workload in a Week 10 road matchup against the New York Jets.
The Jets have struggled against running backs this season, allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to the position. A Tuesday trade of Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys won't help matters much as New York looks to try to slow down Judkins.
The Browns have a good shot at beating or at least keeping things close against the Jets in Week 10, which makes Judkins less likely to see a poor game script limit his touches. He sets up as a low-end RB1 in fantasy heading into Week 10.
Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Houston Texans, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Thomas suffered a low-grade high-ankle sprain in Jacksonville's Week 9 win over the Raiders, where he caught three of five targets for 55 yards.
There was some optimism that Thomas would be able to suit up in Week 10, but the second-year wideout was unable to practice this week and could need a week or two to fully recover. The Jaguars are running thin at the wide receiver position with Thomas out and first-round rookie Travis Hunter (knee) on Injured Reserve.
Recent trade acquisition Jakobi Meyers, along with Parker Washington, are likely to lead Jacksonville's passing game in a tough matchup against a stout Houston Texans defense in Week 10.
Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins hauled in seven of his 11 targets for 75 yards in Week 10, producing double-digit PPR points for the fifth time in his last six games.
Those passes came from both C.J Stroud (concussion) and his replacement, Davis Mills, who will start in Stroud's spot on Sunday against the Jaguars. Without his usual QB, Collins brings more risk than usual, but he still brings a very high ceiling and plenty of PPR production.
On the season, he has 33 catches for 414 yards and three touchdowns in seven games. RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 13 wide receiver this week, making him a very strong WR2 in standard leagues, even though Stroud's absence does make him less of a "sure thing" than normal.
Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans
Houston Texans running back Woody Marks could be poised to be the focus of the offense in Week 10 against the Jaguars in the absence of C.J. Stroud (concussion). Marks has been getting more snaps than his fellow running back, Nick Chubb, over the past several games, outsnapping Chubb in four of his last five games.
Last week, he struggled to just 27 rushing yards on 10 carries and didn't have any catches against a tough Denver defense that knocked Stroud out of the game. Marks had been productive as a rusher and receiver in his previous games, posting double-digit PPR points in three of four weeks with three touchdowns during that span.
He brings a very high ceiling, but there is also a high risk of him busting if the offense can't get going. He's the No. 29 RB in RotoBaller's rankings, making him a high-risk, high-reward flex play this week.
