Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football waiver wire outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider adding off waivers in Week 6:
MarShawn Lloyd, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd has struggled to make an impact on the ground this season. Despite his struggles, the Packers continue to give him opportunities, and it paid off on Sunday.
Lloyd carried the ball 10 times for 31 yards and scored two touchdowns in the blowout win over the Chicago Bears. The two scores are great for fantasy managers, but being held to under 40 rushing yards in every game is not something you want to see from your lead back. The Packers don't really have any better options, so expect Lloyd to remain significantly involved during the Week 6 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
He is a viable pickup in standard formats after this promising effort.
Zach Charbonnet, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) is not expected to play during the Week 6 matchup against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football, per Corbin K. Smith. Head coach Mike Macdonald said it would be tricky for Charbonnet to be ready in time for Thursday's game. Charbonnet returned to practice late last week, but he was only able to get through limited practice sessions.
It sounds like the Seahawks will have him sit out one more game before he makes his season debut in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. His absence would mean that Emanuel Wilson draws at least one more start. He rushed for 61 yards and scored a touchdown in Week 5. It seems like fantasy managers will need to wait until Week 7 before Charbonnet is unleashed.
For now, he is an elite IR stash option in all formats.
DeMario Douglas, New England Patriots
New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas recorded four receptions for 65 yards (16.3 yards per catch) and two touchdowns in a 45-17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. Douglas marked a new season high with the 65 receiving yards, and the two touchdowns were his first scores of the 2026 campaign.
He was the recipient of a 35-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Drake Maye to open the scoring on Sunday, as well as on the Patriots' final touchdown of the day, which was an eight-yard score thrown by Maye. Douglas entered the matchup with just nine catches for 82 yards (9.1 yards per reception). Douglas, currently rostered in just 2% of Yahoo leagues, has not had a lot of fantasy success so far in 2026, but he has put himself on the radar with his Week 5 performance.
Germie Bernard, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Germie Bernard stepped up and made the most of his chances during Sunday's Week 5 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The rookie wideout hauled in six of his nine targets for 80 yards in the win over the Colts.
He led the team in targets and made the most of his chances on Sunday. The Steelers are without Michael Pittman Jr. (foot) and Roman Wilson (finger), who exited early during this game. Bernard stepped up and posted a breakout game in the absence of his two fellow wideouts. With Wilson set to miss time, Bernard could once again be heavily involved against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week.
Woody Marks, Houston Texans
Houston Texans running back Woody Marks was able to capitalize on his extra snaps during Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans. Lead back David Montgomery (groin) was forced to exit in the second quarter and didn't return to the game. His absence gave Marks an opportunity, and he ran with it. Marks rushed the ball 15 times for 62 yards, while hauling in all four of his targets for 23 yards in the Week 5 victory.
It's unclear at the moment if Montgomery is going to miss any time because of this injury. When healthy, Montgomery has been struggling to make an impact this season. Marks could see his role grow on the ground ahead of the Week 6 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange is becoming one of the more appealing waiver-wire options ahead of Week 6 after catching seven of eight targets for 68 yards in Sunday's 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Strange has now drawn eight targets in consecutive games, following his seven-catch, 95-yard performance against Cincinnati in Week 4. That's a noticeable change from his first three games, when he managed just seven receptions for 72 yards on 10 targets.
The increased involvement has given Strange a more dependable source of fantasy production, particularly in PPR formats, where he doesn't necessarily need a touchdown to deliver a useful week. He has scored just once through five games, however, and Jacksonville's passing attack has several players competing for opportunities. Strange is rostered in only 32% of leagues according to RotoBaller's Week 6 waiver rankings, making him a worthwhile addition in 12-team formats.
He offers high-end TE2 value with matchup-dependent TE1 upside, although Jacksonville's Week 7 bye should factor into waiver decisions.
