Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football waiver wire outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider adding off waivers in Week 5:
Ollie Gordon II, Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II led his team in rushing with nine carries for 100 yards, averaging an impressive 11.1 yards per carry, and a touchdown in a 15-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Gordon's day included a 53-yard rush in the early third quarter. He also had two receptions for zero yards. Gordon played 22 out of 39 offensive snaps (56.4%), compared to fellow tailback Jaylen Wright's 12 snaps (30.77%).
Wright, who returned to the lineup after missing Week 3 with a stinger and foot injury, rushed five times for just seven yards (1.4 yards per carry) and did not see a target in the passing game.
With starting running back De'Von Achane out for the season and on injured reserve due to a torn ACL injury, Gordon and Wright were thrust into larger roles. For Week 4, Gordon earned more snaps and was much more productive than Wright. Gordon will look to continue to ascend in a Week 5 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Tyreek Hill, Free Agent
Former Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins free-agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill is rumored to be a possible reunion with the Chiefs. With injuries to both Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Tyquan Thornton (ankle), the Chiefs have reportedly contacted Hill's agent, according to The Athletic's Mike Silver.
Silver also reported that Hill is targeting a November return after undergoing two surgeries for a significant knee injury sustained in Week 4 of the 2025 season. While it's unclear whether Hill will sign soon, the veteran receiver could contribute, and fantasy managers should take notice. With Kansas City interested in signing their former superstar receiver, he is a top stash for fantasy managers as he targets a November return.
Tank Bigsby. Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby could see an increased workload after Saquon Barkley's injury. Bigsby had 14 carries for 55 yards in the 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams and, after suffering an undisclosed injury in the fourth quarter, could not return. Barkley left the game in the first quarter with a hamstring injury and will undergo further testing. If Barkley misses time, Bigsby would be in line to step up as the starter if he's healthy.
Bigsby played 29 of 55 snaps and handled goal-line work and most of the early-down work, while Will Shipley factored in on third downs and obvious passing situations. Fantasy managers should monitor both Barkley and Bigsby, as Bigsby would be a solid FLEX play if Barkley misses time.
Roman Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson hauled in three of six targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in the 27-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Despite the Steelers' first-half offensive struggles, Wilson was a bright spot, including a 12-yard touchdown on the opening drive and a 49-yard reception that set up a Chris Boswell field goal.
While Wilson was productive on Thursday night, he played just 31% of snaps and 40% of routes, ranking fourth among Pittsburgh's wideouts in both categories. Michael Pittman Jr. continues to struggle with penalties and drops, which could open a role for the third-year receiver. Until we see a noticeable change in the rotation, Wilson is at best a deep stash in fantasy leagues.
Emanuel Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson had 21 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown, along with three receptions for 39 yards and another score in the 30-23 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. In his first start of the season, Wilson went off, scoring a career-high 25.5 half-PPR fantasy points in Week 4.
With rookie running back Jadarian Price (chest) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) on injured reserve, Wilson became the clear starter, playing 60% of snaps and taking 76% of backfield opportunities. With no timetable for Charbonnet's return and Price out until at least Week 8, Wilson should be the lead back in the coming weeks. Fantasy managers should add Wilson on waivers, as he's an RB2 with both Charbonnet and Price out.
Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman had one of the better games of his career in his team's Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots, recording six catches for 116 yards and a touchdown on seven targets. Coleman saw his usage spike after Bills WR1 DJ Moore (shoulder) was forced to leave the game with a shoulder injury. It's the second time in four games this season that Moore has had to leave a game early due to his shoulder.
In those games, Coleman has recorded 12 catches for 179 yards and a score on 13 targets. In Buffalo's other two contests, Coleman has logged just two receptions for 38 yards on three targets. If Moore is forced to miss time going forward, Coleman profiles as a must-add waiver wire target for fantasy managers.
