Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee has been a low-key target hog for the past couple of years.
Last season, Higbee had a career-high 108 targets, and while he's not on the same pace this season, he has already exceeded some of his earlier seasons. Unfortunately, he missed last week with a neck injury.
When is Tyler Higbee coming back to action? What is the fantasy football outlook when Tyler Higbee returns?

Tyler Higbee Latest Injury Update - December 15
Rams coach Sean McVay said that he expects Higbee to be back in Week 15. Higbee had a limited practice on Wednesday and a full practice on Friday.
McVay said:
“Hopefully we’ll get Tyler back this week. That’s the expectation. That’s the goal. Still have Brycen Hopkins who has done a lot of good things for us as well. We’ll take it a day at a time. We’re kind of just now in the last couple hours just getting all this information and then you start to sort through your plans accordingly.”
Tyler Higbee Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Higbee suffered a neck injury in Week 13 against the Cleveland Browns that required him to leave the field. He was unable to practice all week and couldn't play against the Ravens.
Higbee was listed as doubtful for the Week 14 matchup against the Ravens. He didn't end up playing, and the Rams lost in overtime. Would his presence have been just enough to give the Rams an edge? We will never know.
Tyler Higbee Fantasy Football Outlook
The Rams face the Commanders in Week 15. Tight ends statistically have struggled against the Commanders. Washington has only allowed 535 yards, the ninth-fewest, to the position.
Higbee would be going up against Commanders linebackers Jamin Davis and Khaleke Hudson on a lot of his routes if he plays. Both have struggled in coverage this year. Davis has allowed a 72.9% completion percentage. Three touchdowns have been completed to players he was covering.
Higbee popped in Week 12 and finished as the TE1, but outside of that week, he hasn't been very productive recently. Since Cooper Kupp returned in Week 5, Higbee has only had one week as a top-12 TE and two weeks as a top-20 TE. Given the fact that Higbee has a semi-tough matchup and is competing with Kupp and Puka Nacua for targets, he is an extremely risky start in Week 15.
