St. Louis Cardinals shortstop prospect J.J. Wetherholt has been one of the most productive hitters in the entire minor leagues.
The top prospect in St. Louis was recently bumped up to Triple-A and is making a strong case to reach the majors before the end of the campaign.

J.J. Wetherholt Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
Since joining Triple-A Memphis, the No. 16-ranked prospect in the sport (according to MLB.com) has posted an elite .301/.391/.628 slash line with a 1.019 OPS. During this 29-game stretch, Wetherholt has tallied eight doubles, nine home runs, and has swiped five bags.
In addition to his high production in the batter's box, he has also shown an elite eye, posting a 21:16 K:BB.
Over his last eight games, Wetherholt has even found another level of production, posting a remarkable .314/.385/.657 line with three doubles, three home runs, and three stolen bases.

J.J. Wetherholt Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
The former seventh overall pick from last year's MLB Draft has done nothing but impress since joining the St. Louis system. Wetherholt opened the campaign at the Double-A level, but only needed 62 games to prove he was ready to join Triple-A. At Double-A, Wetherholt posted a strong .300/.425/.466 line with 14 doubles, seven home runs, and 14 stolen bases.
With both Brendan Donovan and Nolan Arenado on the injured list, Wetherholt could be in the mix to join St. Louis in the near future.
Given his elite skill set, he is a top hitting prospect to stash in Week 22 of the fantasy baseball season.
