FanDuel, DraftKings CFB DFS Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football Advice for 9/13/19

Week 3 college football DFS lineups, sleepers and value picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on September 13th. Target these NCAA players in CFB daily fantasy tournaments and cash games.

Welcome to Week 3 of college football action. We'll kick things off on Friday night this week with the NFL taking over Thursday for another night. Come on CFB, give us at least a couple of games on Thursday night. We have just a three game slate to touch on this Friday, but there is a lot to look at.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 9/13/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

There's a big difference whether you're playing on FanDuel or DraftKings. We'll get to it in depth at each position, but DK is a lot softer with pricing on this slate. Let's dive into some top plays at each position! You can follow me on Twitter @VarneyDFS. I will be around all day to answer questions.

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks

Anthony Gordon, Washington State (FD $10,400 - DK $8,600)

Anthony Gordon just slightly beat out Gabe Gubrud for the starting job, but has been nothing short of immaculate so far. Gordon has thrown for 884 yards and nine scores through just two weeks. They haven’t played the toughest of defenses, but that doesn’t matter for at least another week. They face off with a porous Houston defense that allowed 50 points to Oklahoma just a couple weeks ago. Washington State is favored by six and should have no issue getting over that 40 mark. Gordon is the most expensive option on the board, but you can pencil in three touchdowns with the upside for six. He’s a pure passer and could see 50 pass attempts in this game. He’s your safest cash game bet. With just three games on the slate, we will see a lot of inflated ownership. You can bite the bullet at QB.

D'Eriq King, Houston (FD $9,800 - DK $8,000)

In tournaments, there’s no way I can get away from D’Eriq King. We haven’t seen the ceiling thus far, but there’s a reason he was the consensus number one pick in season long CFB. King scored 50 touchdowns a year ago and has every opportunity to breakout this Friday night. This Washington State defense is nothing to write home about, ranking 193rd against the pass last season. King can throw for 300, run for 150 and combined for five scores. They are just six point underdogs with a game that’s expected to go over 70 points. With a super flex spot on both sites, it’ll be two quarterbacks in every lineup for me.

Also Consider: Jamie Newman, Sam Howell

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Running Backs

A.J. Dillon, Boston College (FD $10,200 - DK $7,800)

A.J. Dillon is currently rated the number one fullback in 2020 NFL mock drafts. That should give you an idea of what type of runner this is. You may think I’m stupid when you turn on the game and he’s fast and agile, but that’s not my point. He is fast an extremely agile, but he also looks for contact as much as a running back can. He would rather run you over then run past you wan he won’t have any trouble doing so with this cupcake Kansas defense. They allowed just 12 points to Coasal Carolina a week ago, but managed to allow 6.1 YPC on 148 yards and a TD to the starting halfback. Boston College are huge favorites in this game and expected to control the tempo. The only way I see A.J. Dillon not having a superb game is if David Bailey steals two scores. VERY unlikely. It’s a bit ambitious, but 150 yards and two scores seems like a safe projection for Dillon.

Cade Carney, Wake Forest (FD $8,200 - DK $5,800)

Cade Carney was a last second scratch last week, but appears to be a full go here. Jamie Newman is a viable option at QB, but I prefer attacking this UNC defense on the ground. Carney ran for 105 yards on 25 carries in week one and was just a touchdown away from a huge week. His price has slightly dropped around the industry and he now sees a UNC defense that gave up 179 yards to the Miami Hurricane subpar rushing attack. Wake Forest certainly prefers to throw the ball, but Carney will get his 20+ carries and has an extremely high chance of stuffing one in the end zone. If you want to look elsewhere, you can play Max Borghi with Gordon. You can also play Michael Carter, who’s a bit too cheap on both sites.

Also Consider: Max Borghi, Michael Carter, Kyle Porter

DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers

Dezmon Patton, Washington State (FD $9,100 - DK $5,000)

FanDuel and DK have things pretty consistent until it comes to wide receiver. DraftKings has wrongly priced a few guys down, while FanDuel is pretty spot on. This Washington State WR situation may be the biggest thing to focus on with this entire slate. Let’s get right to it. Dezmon Patton is the leader of the group and who lead the Cougars in receiving a year ago. Eason Winston Jr. and Davontavean Martin are the number two and three options, but either can have the biggest night and it’s no big deal. There’s no real force to get any one guy the ball in this offense. Brandon Arcanado, Travell Harris, and Renard Bell will also get love in the passing game and they are all in play in tournaments. On DraftKings, Winston is the only guy who is far too expensive. On FanDuel, they are priced correctly, but you have the best tag on Arcanado and Martin. Max Borghi will also get involved in the passing game, and someone is lying to you if they tell you how this pans out production wise. The team simply doesn’t force the ball to one guy.

Sage Surratt, Wake Forest (FD $9,300 - DK $6,800)

DraftKings has made it pretty easy on you in cash games at the wide receiver position. Sage Surratt is the top wide receiver option on the slate and he's certainly not priced like it over there. He is the favorite target of Jamie Newman and I suspect a lot of folks to pivot towards Scotty Washington. He's a talented receiver and a great tourney play, but Sage Surratt is one of the best receivers in the nation and will catch 100 balls this season. This UNC defense is nothing to be scared of and you can expect another 20+ fantasy points out of Surratt.

Marquez Stevenson, Houston (FD $9,000 - DK $5,200)

Marquez Stevenson is another guy who’s just far too cheap on DraftKings. He hauled in nine touchdowns last season and finished with over 1,000 yards. He’s caught double the amount of passes as the WR2 and is in line for a huge game here. This passing game hasn’t gotten going like we expected, and I think that changes this week. We know Dana Holgorsen can work a passing attack and this offense is just working the kinks out. Expect a big day out of Stevenson and for Houston to eclipse 30 points on the night. Over on FanDuel, Keith Corbin is much better priced and a great option in all formats.

Also Consider: Washington State WR's, Scotty Washington, Keith Corbin, Andrew Parchment
