Welcome back RotoBallers, to another edition of the fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 20 -- August 7 through August 13. Now that the dust is settled and the MLB trade deadline is over, it's time to see which players fantasy managers can add off the waive wire to help their teams for the championship run.
More top prospects are being called up to the big leagues, and some are producing for fantasy managers immediately. The Rays called up top prospect Curtis Mead on Friday, while the Guardians promoted Brayan Rocchio. Mead is 1-for-4 over two games for the Rays. Rocchio is hitting .182 (2-for-11) with a walk in his previous three games with Cleveland. Top pitching prospect Eury Perez will make his return to Miami's rotation on Monday. Top prospects such as Kyle Manzardo, Masyn Winn, Ricky Tiedemann , Colt Keith, Matt Mervis, Heston Kjerstad, and Ronny Mauricio patiently await the call to the big leagues.
Notable injury notes include Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hamstring), Brandon Marsh (knee), Danny Jansen (wrist), Max Muncy (wrist), and Eloy Jimenez (heel) being considered day-to-day. Jake Fraley (toe), Joe Musgrove (shoulder), and Zach Neto (back) were placed on the injured list. Reinforcements are coming as Trevor Story (elbow), Brandon Woodruff (shoulder), and Cedric Mullins (groin) are close to returning to action.
