NFL DFS Advice, Lineup Picks & Sleepers - DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football (Week 2)

Welcome to the Week 2 edition of Daily Fantasy Football DraftKings targets. An introduction is not really all that necessary, as the title of this DFS article pretty much sums up what is going to be discussed.

It's important to identify players with good matchups, but we also want to look at their DraftKings prices so we can hopefully find low-cost / high-production players for your lineups.

I will be providing one top DFS play and one DFS value play at each position for Week 2 NFL DraftKings action. Let's get down to it.

DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks for Week 1

Drew Brees (vs TB, $7,800)

Last week, Marcus Mariota scorched the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' secondary for 209 passing yards and four touchdowns on his way to a perfect QB rating. This week, a QB with a little bit higher upside than Mariota, Drew Brees, will see what he can do against the porous Bucs defense. In his first game on the season, against the Arizona Cardinals, Drew Brees threw the ball a total of 48 times, completing 30 passes for over 350 yards, but only securing one touchdown. He should be able to find the end zone more than once this Sunday, as the Saints are projected to win the game by over 10 points according to Vegas.

Carson Palmer (at CHI, $6,700)

Carson Palmer looked fantastic week one against the New Orleans Saints. Averaging almost 10 yards per pass completion, Palmer completed 19 balls for over 300 yards and three touchdowns. In his 13th season, the Arizona Cardinals' QB looks better than ever. He is making the correct defensive reads, and he should be able to pick apart the Chicago Bears' secondary, who allowed Aaron Rodgers to toy with them last week on his way to three touchdowns. Palmer's price is a little bit low this week, as he has proven time and time again that when he is healthy he is a threat to any defense in the league. Take advantage of DraftKings' undervaluation of his abilities.

DraftKings DFS Running Backs for Week 1

Marshawn Lynch (at GB, $7,200)

Matt Forte dominated the Green Bay Packers' rush defense last week, averaging over 5.0 yards per carry on his way to 141 rushing yards on only 24 carries. He also scored a touchdown and caught five passes for 25 yards. While Lynch will not likely be be utilized in the receiving game like Forte is for the Bears, he should be able to carve up the Packers' defense for an abundance of rushing yards. Last week, he looked good against the St. Louis Rams, running the ball 18 times for 73 yards. If the Seahawks would of had a lead or the game would not of been so close, Lynch could of touched the ball even more. Vegas has the Packers/Seahawks game at -3 in favor of the Packers, but this prediction is so slim that it is entirely possible that the Seahawks are attempting to run out the clock in the fourth quarter.

Ameer Abdullah (at MIN, $4,500)

Carlos Hyde is a freak of nature. There is no disputing that. Against the Minnesota Vikings last week, he ran for 168 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. This averages out to 6.5 yards per carry. Ameer Abdullah will be the Vikings next challenge, and he should be able to get the better of them. On only seven carries last week, he ran for 50 yards and a touchdown. This averages out to 7.1 yards per carry. Abdullah is used a lot more in the passing game than Carlos Hyde, however, as he caught four passes for 44 yards last week against the San Diego Chargers. With an extra point per reception, Abdullah makes for a fantastic low-priced option on DraftKings this week.

DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers for Week 1

Julio Jones (at NYG, $8,900)

Julio Jones put on a show Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, as he grabbed nine receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns. The amount of times he was targeted in the second half was just ridiculous (in a bad way). He also caught four screen passes, but all of them were called back due to penalty (thanks, Hankerson). The New York Giants put up a fight against the Dallas Cowboys, but Tony Romo showed just how soft their defense can be when he easily drove down the field, finding Witten in the end zone to give the Cowboys the lead. Jones should be able to continue his impressive start to the season, and he is the top WR option for week two.

Terrance Williams (at PHI, $4,200)

It is time for the 3rd year WR out of Baylor to step his game up for the Dallas Cowboys. Dez Bryant is out for quite some time with a foot injury, and Williams will be the Cowboys' go to WR option for the next few weeks. Last game, Williams caught a solid five balls for 60 yards. This week, he gets a great matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles and should be able to take advantage of his big frame to find his way to the end zone. Kind of like Davante Adams week one, Terrence Williams is going to be highly owned, but for great reason.

DraftKings DFS Tight Ends for Week 1

Martellus Bennett (vs ARI, $4,500)

"MartyB" (do people still call him that?) had a solid week one performance against the Green Bay Packers. He caught five balls for 55 yards and a touchdown. The Arizona Cardinals are known for their inability to cover the TE position, so Bennett could be in for a huge week. He is a little pricey, but no where near the ridiculousness of Gronk. Remember, TEs are very unpredictable, but Bennett is generally targeted semi-heavily, so he is a pretty safe option.

Jordan Reed (vs STL, $3,700)

If you are not on board the Jordan Reed train yet, you better hop on and buckle up. The Washington Redskins love to throw the ball to the TE position, and Kirk Cousins targets Reed more than most of his WRs. Last week, Reed had seven catches for 63 yards and a touchdown. Against the Rams, he should see similar numbers. Reed is not widely talked about among DFS players, so he is always a great option in tournaments. He flies under-the-radar, and you'll want to use that to your advantage.
