Week 12 Waiver Wire Pickups - Devin Singletary, Bhayshul Tuten, Chris Rodriguez Jr. Fantasy Football Outlooks

Bhayshul Tuten - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Sleepers, NFL DFS Picks

Week 12 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Devin Singletary, Bhayshul Tuten, Chris Rodriguez Jr. in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.

The running back position is one of major scarcity in fantasy football. Even though it's so tough to find startable running backs after the draft, though, things do change over the course of the season.

We often see players take bigger shares of their backfield work or simply take over starting jobs in their backfields, which can turn them from waiver wire fodder into instant must-stash or even must-start players.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary, Jacksonville Jaguars tailback Bhayshul Tuten, and Washington Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. are three RBs that have seen more work recently. So should you add them off the waiver wire for Week 11?

Devin Singletary Week 12 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 44% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 14-team leagues

The Giants were weirdly productive on the ground in Week 11 against the Green Bay Packers. But we saw Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle demolish this team on the ground a few weeks ago as well, so they might just have a vulnerable run defense.

Singletary scored 17.7 PPR fantasy points by rushing 16 times for 44 yards and scoring two touchdowns, and catching one pass for three yards. But he was still outscored by the starting RB, Tyrone Tracy Jr., who rushed 19 times for 88 yards and caught four passes for 51 yards.

Singletary was handily out-touched and out-produced by the starter, and it was the first game in which Tracy started that both were actually productive since rookie RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) saw his season end with a dislocated ankle. This doesn't make Singletary an elite waiver add by any means.

He should be rostered in deep leagues where nearly every team's RB2 is rostered, but otherwise, you should turn your attention to the next player in this piece.

Bhayshul Tuten Week 12 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 23% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in All Leagues

I've been recommending Tuten (ankle) as a pick to make in all redraft leagues and dynasty, and a great free-agent pickup. Before this week, he was rostered in less than a quarter of leagues, but we finally saw what his role would have looked like had he not been injured early in the season and limited as a result.

Unfortunately, he injured his ankle in the game, and though he said he was "good" in an interview post-game, you never know until you get an official diagnosis or missed time. It's also possible he could have a smaller role moving forward to help preserve his health. That would be a frustrating situation.

Tuten's already gotten quite a bit of goal-line work this season, and it appears he's headed for an even split with Etienne. That's bad news for Etienne managers, of course, but great news if you want an RB that could actually be startable down the stretch off waivers.

I've advocated that Tuten should be stashed all season in anticipation of him getting a bigger role, and it seems to be finally happening. He needs to be rostered in all leagues before Week 12.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Week 12 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 30% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add In 12-team leagues

Rodriguez clearly took over the starting role from rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt in Week 11 after an injury scare in Week 10 caused him to be pulled from the game. Now, C-Rod will have an extra week to get healthy, as the Commanders will be on bye in Week 12.

While we're in crunch time, you should probably still consider adding Rodriguez off waivers. The starting running back for every team should be rostered in all leagues, and there are usually very few teams (e.g. the Tennessee Titans) in which the RB1 isn't at least fantasy relevant.

Rodriguez doesn't have a lot of PPR upside, but there are some favorable games down the stretch, especially in the playoffs, where the Commanders will face the New York Giants in Week 15 and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17. Both of those teams have awful defenses.

Rodriguez should have good games in both those matchups and has a potential to be a waiver wire hero in the playoffs. He has added upside in games where his starting quarterback, Jayden Daniels (elbow), plays, so if he returns, that gives C-Rod an even higher ceiling. He should be added in all leagues.
