BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 6% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Tre'Quan Smith didn't get to debut until Week 7, but hit the ground running and although he's had some up and downs through the road to Week 14, the truth is that the volume has always been there for him in a very thin offense barren of talent at pretty much every position because of season-ending injuries and other maladies--just look at the newswire on WR Deonte Harris' status for the next three weeks...
Smith was plain bad in his first game out there (W7) with a measly 2.1 PPR tally, but that was also because of a silly diet of just 3 targets of which he could only haul in one for 11 yards. Smith has been much better since then, with an average of 9.5 PPR points from W8 (included) on and even finishing as the WR19 of Week 10 when he went for a 7-4-44-1 line that had him sitting at 14.4 PPR points.
Smith is now coming off his second dud of the year (3.5 PPR) after catching only 2-of-7 targets against Dallas last TNF, which was actually tough to watch. With Tyson Hill out injured and Trevor Siemian being Trevor Siemian, the upside isn't staggering--thus the advice to chase Smith only in the deepest of leagues ROS. That said, he should be getting his customary 5+ targets per game for some 40 yards on a weekly basis.
