Top Quarterback Waiver Wire Pickups and Streamers for Week 13: Trevor Lawrence, Deshaun Watson, Kenny Pickett

Trevor Lawrence - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Dan's fantasy football quarterback waiver wire pickups for Week 13 of the 2022 NFL season. His free agent QBs to add and QB streamers for 1QB and 2B leagues.

Week 12 provided fantasy managers with a break from bye weeks. However, they’ll be back again in Weeks 13 and 14, just in time for teams making a fantasy playoff push.

Five quarterbacks (Mac Jones, Geno Smith, Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and Mike White) broke the 300-yard passing threshold in Week 11. Two others (Tua Tagovailoa and Kirk Cousins) just missed, throwing for 299 yards. Lawrence, White, Cousins, Derek Carr, and Justin Herbert were the only passers to throw for three touchdowns.

In this article, I will look at the fantasy football waiver wire for quarterback pickups and streamers, focusing on players under 65% rostered in fantasy leagues while adding a couple of deep sleepers for two-quarterback leagues (less than 25% rostered).

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. Single-QB League Waiver Wire Options

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

Yahoo: 61% rostered

Trevor Lawrence is finding his rhythm in a new offense. Lawrence put together a second consecutive game (the Jaguars had a bye in Week 11) with over 20.0 fantasy points. Lawrence tied his season-high in touchdown passes (three) and had a season-high in yardage (321) against the Ravens in Week 12.

Lawrence has scored at least 18.0 fantasy points in six of 11 games this season and has excellent matchups on the horizon against the Lions in Week 13 and the Titans in Week 14. As an added bonus, he’ll have a fantastic matchup in the fantasy playoff championship against the Houston Texans.

Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Browns

Yahoo: 58% rostered

It is time. Deshaun Watson’s suspension will be coming to an end in Week 13 as he travels to Houston to face his former team. Only time will tell how fast Watson can knock off the rust he’s accrued from essentially a year and a half of inactivity, but he has all the tools to be a fantasy game-changer down the stretch.

If your league has let Watson linger on the waiver wire, pick him up to prepare for the fantasy playoff push. It’s probably worth slow playing him for a week before inserting him into your fantasy lineup. But Watson has the tools, weapons, and offensive line to win fantasy championships in 2022.

Two-QB Waiver Wire Options and Stashes

Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh Steelers

Yahoo: 10% rostered

This article will come out before tonight’s game against the Colts, but only an injury would make Pickett a questionable add considering his matchups in Weeks 13 (Atlanta) and 14 (Baltimore). Pickett has scored at least 16.0 fantasy points in each of his last two games before Monday night’s matchup against Indianapolis.

More importantly, the Steelers have had no problem letting Pickett throw the ball since he took over as the starter. Between Weeks 7 and 11, Pickett has attempted at least 30 passes in every game for the Steelers.

He’s got a great chance to have the same passing volume against two of the worst secondaries in fantasy this season.

Mike White, New York Jets

Yahoo: 4% rostered

Mike White looked phenomenal in his first start against the Chicago Bears (take it with a grain of salt), helping the Jets' offense look as good as they have all season. White completed 22 of 28 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions. He scored 26.80 fantasy points in the effort.

The Jets will have no reason to go away from White for at least another week, which is excellent news considering a matchup against the Vikings' porous secondary on deck. White could put together strong consecutive performances, which makes him an excellent QB2 given the bye weeks next week.
