Terry McLaurin's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 16 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Terry McLaurin for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 10 and 12-team leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3 with limited upside
ANALYSIS: It feels weird calling Tery McLaurin a WR3 with limited upside. But that's where we are in Week 16. He faces the New York Jets, who allow just 11.57 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. That's by far the fewest in the league. The Panthers and Browns allow the 2nd-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers with 16.29. That shows you just how good this Jets secondary has been this season.
McLaurin is coming off his best game of the season. He totaled 141 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets. However, that came mostly in garbage time catching passes from Jacoby Brissett. To start Week 16, it'll be Sam Howell back under center. Before Week 15, McLaurin hadn't topped 50 yards or scored a touchdown in each of his last four games.
He's also averaging career lows in yards per target (7.46) and yards per catch (12.65) this season and has just three total touchdowns. McLaurin is probably better off on your bench in 12-team leagues this week.
