Welcome! There are definitely some value options to take advantage of on this slate, but there are also a few big-time aces in really favorable spots. Today's slate has excellent pitcher options no matter how you like to approach the position.

In this article, I’ll be providing you with the top starting pitcher streamers for daily fantasy baseball (DFS) and for seasonal leagues for 4/26/16. These streamers will range from high-priced / high-ownership options to low-priced / low-ownership options, and will be sleepers and value picks for your cash games and GPPs on DraftKings and FanDuel, and also for seasonal leagues with daily lineups.

Daily Pitcher Matchup Ratings Tool Top Plays

Max Scherzer (WAS) vs. PHI

FanDuel - $10,500 / DraftKings - $12,900

Daily players likely still have a bad taste in their mouths after Scherzer allowed the Marlins to score five runs in five innings in his last start. Shake off that poor start and keep him in consideration for Tuesday. The matchup tool likes him the most of all the pitching options on the slate and for good reason. The Phillies have one of the least potent lineups in the league, plus the game is being played away from hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park which won't help matters for them.

David Price (BOS) @ ATL

FanDuel - $9,400 / DraftKings - $11,400

Price, like Scherzer, is coming off a disappointing start where he didn't make it out of the fourth inning against the Rays. Look for him to bounce back on Tuesday against the Braves. Atlanta, when facing left-handed pitching, is 29th in the league in wOBA and 30th in ISO. Considering salary and matchup, Price is a better play than Scherzer today.

Matt’s Value Plays of the Day

Rich Hill (OAK) @ DET

FanDuel - $7,700 / DraftKings - $7,700

Hill has hit 30 DraftKings points and 57 FanDuel points twice in his four starts on the year. Granted the other two haven't been too pretty, but safety isn't as much of a concern when mining for value plays at pitcher. Hill takes on a Tigers offense that has really struggled to begin the year. Hill has huge strikeout upside whenever he takes the mound and is a worthy GPP play tonight.

Kyle Hendricks (CHC) vs. MIL

FanDuel - $7,300 / DraftKings - $8,600

Hendricks has been consistent, striking out five batters in all three of his starts. He doesn't have the upside of Rich Hill, but he's a much safer play. It all depends on how you want to attack the position today.

Starting Pitchers to Fade in Daily Fantasy Baseball

Chris Sale (CWS) @ TOR

FanDuel - $10,900 / DraftKings - $12,000

Sale gets the unenviable task of facing a dangerous Blue Jays lineup while checking in as one of the highest priced pitchers on the board. Unless he is being used as a tournament option, Sale is best avoided as there are several similarly priced pitchers with better matchups on tap.

Vincent Velasquez (PHI) @ WAS

FanDuel - $7,800 / DraftKings - $9,400

Velasquez did not fare well in his last start as the Mets hit him up for five runs in four innings. He's not a terrible play today, but he is just priced too high. He will take on a dangerous Nationals lineup and pitch opposite ace Max Scherzer, which will make a win tough to come by for the young fire-baller tonight.

James Shields (SD) @ SF

FanDuel - $7,900 / DraftKings - $8,400

A pitcher who gets no run support taking on one of the better lineups in baseball is a bad mix, yet that's what you get with Shields tonight. Nathan Karns, Rich Hill, and even Bartolo Colon are all cheaper, better options on this slate.
