Should I Pickup Mitchell Tinsley or Andrei Iosivas? Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 13

Andrei Iosivas - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I pickup Mitchell Tinsley or Andrei Iosivas as fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 13 of 2025? Read our fantasy football waiver wire outlooks.

It's now or never for the Cincinnati Bengals. After a 20-26 loss to the Patriots in Week 12, they currently have a 3-8 record and will have to win out if they want to return to the postseason for the first time since 2022.

Luckily for them, Joe Burrow will return, and Ja'Marr Chase's one-game suspension is now over. However, Tee Higgins suffered a concussion in that Patriots game, and the team's other wideouts will have to step up in his place.

Should you pick up Mitchell Tinsley or Andrei Iosivas ahead of Week 13? Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Mitchell Tinsley Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook

Mitchell Tinsley has an inspiring story, as he started out at Hutchinson Community College before transferring to Western Kentucky and eventually Penn State. After going undrafted, he signed with the Commanders.

He only played three offensive snaps in two years before joining the Bengals, where he has shown some flashes of his potential this season.

He scored his first career NFL touchdown in Week 2 against the Jaguars and found the end zone again in his first career start against New England last week.

He has appeared in 26.3% of the team's offensive snaps since Week 6, and is set for his second career start if Higgins doesn't clear the concussion protocol, which seems unlikely since most players miss at least one week due to a concussion, and the Bengals don't have much time as they will play the Ravens on Thanksgiving Thursday.

Andrei Iosivas Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook

Even if Higgins does make a miraculous recovery, we can still expect to see Iosivas as a big part of Cincinnati's passing attack. Iosivas has laid a few "goose eggs" this year (Week 1, 3, and 8), but he's also had his fair share of solid performances.

Iosivas recorded his career-high in receiving yards in Week 5 against a dominant Lions team, finished as the PPR WR13 in Week 9 against the Bears, and caught four of his seven targets for 61 yards last week against the Patriots.

Among the 64 wideouts with at least 40 targets this season, Iosivas ranks 17th in yards per reception (13.8) and has grown into a solid third option behind Chase and Higgins.

Should I Pickup Mitchell Tinsley or Andrei Iosivas For Fantasy Football?

Many advanced metrics favor Tinsley as a deep target over the more established Iosivas. Tinsley's 16.0 average depth of target ranks 13th among WRs with over 10 targets. His quarterbacks also have a passer rating of 103.5 when targeting him (per PFF).

Iosivas doesn't do as well in those metrics, as his ADOT of 8.8 and passer rating of 81.0 are both mediocre. His drop percentage of 14.8 is also very concerning.

However, this is where familiarity and chemistry come into play. Returning quarterback Burrow has never thrown a pass to Tinsley in an NFL regular-season game, while Iosivas has been playing with Burrow for almost three years.

If Higgins doesn't play, Tinsley could get some deep opportunities and post a great fantasy performance. However, Iosivas seems like the safer option, with a lower ceiling but a higher floor.

One thing is for certain: the Bengals are desperate and are willing to give anyone a chance if it means they can make the playoffs after their poor start.
